The TV ratings for the first 4 weeks of the season have not been made public.
Interesting to me is the new commissioner was the former head of TSN, but now that he’s in charge of the CFL, the TV ratings are not being reported.
I wonder what the actual reason is.
The TV ratings, when previously published, were always a bit problematic.
1- Until last year, RDS numbers were never reported. So a Montreal vs Ottawa game would report only TSN numbers so it would be reported as 200k viewers instead of the actual 500k. Last year was better and more accurate.
2-Internet streaming numbers have never been published or included. I watch on the TSN app so my eyeballs are never counted in the published numbers.
3- Starting every September people compare the ratings directly with the NFL and it was often used to put down our league.
