Troy Bergeron- Receiver Worth A Look By Ticats

PLEASE DISREGARD THIS THREAD. AFTER BEING RELEASED BY THE BUFFALO BILLS ON FEB 14/07, TROY BERGERON WAS RE-SIGNED BY THE GEORGIA FORCE OF THE AFL ON FEB 16/07 AND IS THEREFORE UNAVAILABLE TO THE TICATS OR ANY OTHER CFL TEAM AT THIS TIME.

The transactions section on the Buffalo Bills website indicates that they released a receiver named Troy Bergeron on Feb 14/07. Here is a summary of his bio:

-he is 6-2 190 lbs

-date of birth Dec 3/83

-has 4.3 speed for the 40 yard run

-played one year of college ball at Middle Tennessee State but had to quit to get a job to support his wife and child

2004 -played for Columbus Wardogs of AFL2 and caught 72 passes for 1,220 yards and 26 TDs

2005- played for the Georgia Force of AFL and caught 105 passes for 1372 yards and 31 TDs. He was named AFL Rookie of the Year

2006- Signed by Atlanta Falcons on May 5/06 and released on Sep 2/06

2007- Signed by Buffalo Bills on Jan 2/07 and released on Feb 14/07

The Ticats need some speed at the receiver position and Troy Bergeron would be worth a look to see whether he is the real deal.

The AFL doesn't respect the CFL's contracts, why should we respect their's?

Lets throw him a contract offer anyway, just to piss them off.

Good one, Espo.

you're welcome lol

I'm with the two of you. It's not like the team doesn't have any money to spend...

BTW - for those who remember, TCTD was the clairvoyant who brought QB Richie Williams to our attention... lol

Hopefully this prediction comes true as well?
