Tre Ford looking to take next step as a leader in Edmonton

EDMONTON — It’s commitment season in Edmonton.

Fresh off signing a three-year contract extension with the Edmonton Elks, quarterback Tre Ford can feel the change in the organization. The Green and Gold are under new leadership, with President & CEO Chris Morris, VP of Football Operations & General Manger Ed Hervey, and Head Coach Mark Kilam steering the ship.

Having Tre Ford sign on for another 3 years in Edmonton is a very good aspect. The new ownership of the Edmonton Elks was needed. Community ownership in Edmonton Alberta came to it’s end once the name was changed and sponsorship of the franchise walked away. Bringing back Ed Hervey for the GM position and a new HC in Mark Kilam, who I don’t have any knowledge of, however he sounds new and I’m just hoping he will contain himself with great Coordinators.
One of the best things the Elks have done before the end of 2024 is sign Jake Fajardo from Montreal Alouettes. Teams in the CFL will have difficulty having starting QBS fulfill an entire season without injury. They run more than ever therefore the percentage of injury rises. Even if the QBS slide, defensive players still make poor decisions on late hits. Too all CFL defensive players… bad… bad defensive player… you are bad! This is before you have made your hit…hahaha
