Looks like the early contenders for Obby's centre spot might be Morely and Kowalczuk

Who's going to opening day on Sunday? It's a good time, and a great way to get excited about the season!

I’d love to but I don’t know if I can find someone to stay with my daughter.

I have it on good authority that Pigseye is great with kids…

If he’s got experience dealing with teenagers with autism then he’s hired.

Lapo has tweeted that they have recruited a bunch of Bomber alumni to be there on Sunday.

The Bombers have done a great job with this. The fans started it in 2010 when so many showed up for the first day of TC but the Bombers certainly ran with it and it’s getting bigger and bigger each year.

Hey, my babysitting days are over, soon enough my teenager will be keeping an eye on me and doing the driving

Hahaha. Spoken like a man who is too young to be a grandfather.

LOL…he’s not that far off though…

Just looking back at last year....what happened to Sherman - the WR that everyone was so big on during training camp last year, and LB Rico McCoy? Both impressed enough last year. Did they find jobs elsewhere?

Also, after reading several articles about the spots available on the Oline, Justin Sorensen gets no credit. is he that far down the depth charts?

Rico McCoy looked good in rookie camp in 2010 but didn’t impress after that. He was with Edmonton for a couple of months last season before being released. Damian Sherman had injury issues so he was released (both times). I can’t find anything about either playing football in any league now.

Penton tweeted these picture just before 10:

The walk through started at 10 and the actual practice starts at 11 so you still have time to get there.

And if you did make it out please let us know how it went.

Bob Irving tweeted he's heard attendance esimates ranging from 7,000-9,000 people. Way to go, Bomber fans!

....Seems there's lots of interest in the 2012 edition of the Bombers  Bomber faithful have to be congratulated...Keep er going :rockin:

  x 2

lol, whoever is doing those estimates are horrible at estimating.

I was there, it was a large crowd but unless there was a lot of turnover it was not 7-9, 5-7 would be much fairer estimate... especially considering the West side lower grandstands don't even have 7,000 seats(they have under 6K). :stuck_out_tongue:

Now if they had TC on the good side, the east side, they could actually fit near 9,000 people in the lower grand stands as the East side has around 55 rows instead of the West sides 40 rows, along with 55 rows in all sections unlike sections A and G that low ~5 rows to the party suites/press boxes.

Anywhoooo, it was a huge crowd regardless and a good show of support, hopefully crowds stay fairly good sized.

On the Sorenson bit, the issue with Sorenson is Kowalczuk has been in Winnipeg longer I suppose and his snaps were better today(although it's Day 1 big deal) Kowalczuk also spent a lot of time in the off-season after Khan's retirement working out with Morley taking snaps to Pierce.
But really Sorenson is the preferred option to "step up" and take the center job between the two of them as Sorenson is a year and a half younger, has experience starting at a couple spots a long the line and he's got more size which is the theme of the OL.
He had huge potential when drafted as a redshirted Junior(future pick) in 2008 by the Lions(talking Justin S) If he gets a chance to start it's not hard to see him running with it.

Finally was able to take in my first training camp practice this season on Sunday...

All the Poblah hype is justified. He made a couple of outstanding catches. One with Jovon draped all over him, and the other with Stewart. He just might be something we can be excited to watch for years to come.

Sitting close enough to hear Hefney and Stewart chirpin' all practice is a highlight for me. Those guys are a little nutty...Hilarious.

Watson looked to be in a fair bit of pain before they carted him off. He was able to stand and put some weight on the leg, but walking was tough. Hopefully he'll be ready to go for the opener. In his place, I was impressed with Jade. He made a few nice catches as well. As a side note, the guy doesn't look much skinnier than any of the other tall receivers in camp.
