The NFL workout window has commenced, it opened on November 18 and closes on February 11, 2025, at 12:01 p.m. EST. The window to sign with an NFL team opens January 6, 2025, and ends February 11, 2025, at 12:01 p.m. EST.

NFL teams must ask CFL franchises for permission to work out players and the request cannot be denied. CFL players can opt out of their agreements north of the border if an NFL team offers a contract.

Pending CFL free agents do not have to complete the opt-out process. If a player’s contract expires on February 11, 2025, the CFL’s opening day for free agency, the agreement can be terminated if an NFL contract is offered.

Former CFL award-winner Qwan’tez Stiggers made his first career NFL start on Sunday for the New York Jets.

The rookie was forced into action when veteran cornerbacks D.J. Reed (groin) and Brandin Echols (shoulder) were unable to play due to injury, leaving a starting spot open opposite perennial All-Pro selection Sauce Gardner. He made four solo tackles and one assisted tackle in New York’s 32-25 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 22-year-old was a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft following a standout season in the CFL as a member of the Toronto Argonauts in 2023.

And it appears that the Broncos were so interested in Barlow and Allen after their workouts on Friday that they invited them to work out more on Saturday with several others too.

The Denver Broncos hosted a CFL-packed workout on Saturday, bringing in receivers Ajou Ajou, Ayden Eberhardt, and Makai Polk, offensive lineman Logan Ferland, defensive linemen Brandon Barlow, Elliott Brown, and Jonah Tavai, and linebackers A.J. Allen, Michael Ayers, Isaac Darkangelo, and Davion Taylor. The news was reported by Aaron Wilson.

Canadian punter Jake Julien worked out for the New York Jets on Monday, per sources.

As cold as it was today, I would think the workout was indoors.

Positive - New York and Los Angeles are the most lucrative markets for players for especially local endorsements, perks, elite access, and “swag.”

Negative - It’s the New York Jets.

DL Holley and Punters Constantinou and Julien continue to work out for NFL teams.

This report was interesting news especially because another top NFL team that is going to be in the playoffs worked him out.

The Buffalo Bills worked out Canadian defensive back Tyrell Ford on Tuesday, per sources.

The five-foot-eleven, 188-pound native of Niagara Falls, Ont. was named an All-CFL cornerback with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers this past season. He made 51 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles, and seven interceptions and is scheduled to become a CFL free agent in February.

The Cleveland Browns have signed Toronto Argonauts’ defensive lineman Ralph Holley, per sources.

The West Bloomfield, Mich., native was a standout with the Argos this past season, his first in the CFL. He recorded 22 tackles, eight sacks and one forced fumble. His eight sacks tied for the league lead despite him playing mostly on the interior for Toronto. He also played in the Argonauts three postseason games, posting one tackle and one sack in the East Final, en route to a 111th Grey Cup victory.

During December and January, the 25-year-old worked out for seven NFL teams, including the Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints.
