TORONTO AT MONTREAL- VENDREDI, le 15 septembre 2023 à 19h

If Hamilton hosts a playoff game or better it will depend on who Hamilton ownership/management credit for the turnaround … OS may end up out.

I should have use pro francophone Johnny. An example is how they treated the last owner. And there are more obvious examples when it comes to the “Sainte Flanelle”…

Finally watched the game. Toronto goes for it on their 3-yard line, third and three. Boy that is complete disrespect to Montreal. If I was the ALS defence, I would never forget that. Also how do you get beat deep when you have a lead on a TD pass? I don’t believe that INT was on CF at the end of the game. Pickett was unblocked. It took a lot for Montreal to lose that game.

Dinwiddie has taken Thorpe to the woodshed four straight times now, going back to the EDF. I don’t blame him for not fearing our defence. But it’s also the confidence you have when you’re the defending Grey Cup champions and you’ve got what looks to be a generational talent under center.

And a fabulous line, and RBs, and very active LBs and DL. Pickett was all over the field in that game.

Well, we’ve been over this, but I do not in any way believe that Toronto’s line is that much better than ours. Nor that their defence is all that and a bag of chips. Plenty of teams have scored points on them.

They are the better team but that difference is disproportionately magnified by the coaching disparity IMO. And better team or not, we should not have lost all three games to them this season.

Their OL is better than ours. They have hardly given up any sacks this year and Kelly isn’t always a quick release QB. We did manage to get to him and sack him a couple of times, which is great. But we couldn’t stop him when we needed to. I agree their D is overrated, but it has some very good players. We should have won that game and likely the first one too, but we didn’t. I agree we were once again out coached. We stopped Ouellette, so then they adjusted by bringing in a scatback. Our one adjustment was to get CF out of the pocket and it worked, but then we went away from it.

CFL, gotta love it though.

They are going to stop the slide. The linebacking is so improved now with AV and DS. Thor had a couple of nice runs in the 1st, but was not noticeable after that. Imagine what Als will do to teams with weaker running attacks. Montreal played toe to toe with the best team in the league for 60 minutes minus 5 seconds. All remaining games are against teams with under .500 records.
The knock on Sankey (not by me) was that he was good between the tackles, only. Meanwhile he was involved with tackles along both sidelines and seemed in top game condition which surprised me. He was everywhere, a beast. And the players seemed to love him - they kept going over and hugging him. Like a good QB in this league a top mlb makes a big difference. We saw this when the team’s winning record reversed after AW was injured. In 2 out of 3 games with Toronto they were in it till the very end. This is not over and some surprises could happen.

My French overall is rather good, but I’m unfamiliar with the expression “regarde ses cartons”. Do you simply mean he spends too much time looking through the list of plays he keeps on the laminated paper in his left hand? Can someone translate please?

J.Maas regarde durant la partie sa liste de jeux, l’on pourrait dire: « Look at the game plan ».

I think that coincided with TO losing their LT and having to shuffle someone over/out to LT and bring in a backup to replace the converted LT … shows how fragile a strong OL can be when two positions are weakened because of one injury.

Good point. But also you have to admit that an animal like AJO probably needs less help than other RBs.

The Argos didn’t win this game with their Running game. I agree.
