Another year, another season dawning with great hope in Hamilton.
Hope that a Grey Cup drought that has stretched on for nearly 25 years will finally end. There is hope that good health will bless returning Tiger-Cats who suffered through frustrating injury spates in 2023. Hope that young players who emerged last season will make leaps forward in 2024. And there is hope that the winds of change that blew through the defensive roster this off-season will springboard that unit to a return to dominance.
A lot depends on Bo - obviously. Tim White may be the best receiver in the CFL when you consider the supporting cast he has.
The DL looks really good but the back 8 looks like a mixed bag to me. The East will run through the Argos & Als again this year. Unless Scott & Bo can conjure up some magic, the TiCats are strictly 2nd tier out East IMO. But I hope I’m proved wrong.
The Cats have recruited well in the off season and could be the “dark horse” in the CFL this season. They have a solid coaching staff and player leadership. My hope is that Bo can deliver, but they also have a good backup QB in Powell. All in all, I see the Tiger Cats being a tough competitor for any team this year. Here’s hoping!
