  1. Calgary- Connor Shay: Stamps are starting Sopik at WLB, but lack depth behind him.

  2. Hamilton- Jaylen Smith: Ti-Cats will be starting Baker at MLB. Depth is always good, especially a guy with the most defensive snaps in the NCAA.

  3. Ottawa- Darien Newell: Need to get younger at DT, #90 won’t last forever. Can line up at 1Tech or 3 Tech.

  4. Saskatchewan- Paris Shand: The Rider’s need Dline help immediately. Korte-Moore is on the last year of his contract. Chabire is coming off an injury.

  5. Montreal- Chris Fortin: Could step in at RG right away.

  6. Winnipeg- Devin Veresuk: Winnipeg didn’t resign Bighill, put up big numbers at the Buffalo pro day. He’s 240lbs and might be the future at MLB.

  7. Toronto- Nate Beauchman: He will duke it out with Blackburn for the starting safety position.

  8. Calgary- Isaiah Bagnah: The Stamps seem set at DT, but DE is lacking in depth.

  9. BC- Silas Hubert: Very productive 6’5 250lbs, DE to play behind Betts.

  10. Hamilton- Jackson Findlay: The guy can play Safety, SLB and probably DHB.

  11. Edomonton- Erik Anderson: The Elks played a Canadian at RT and he could be great depth.

  12. BC- Seth Hundeby: The Lions love Saskatchewan Linebackers. Hundeby played, JACK, WILL and MIKE in a 3-4.

I don’t see BC taking a QB in the first round. Stranger things have happened though.

I agree, especially if Elgersma gets drafted in the NFL.

Move it to CFL talk, you might get more replies.

A TSN interview, at the combine, suggests he could even become a full time WLB. Findlay’s an impressive young man with versatility +.

His talents would be wasted at WLB. A team should put him at field defensive halfback, like the Stamps did with Labrosse.

They have they’re starting a Canadian quarterback
And having another one in your back pocket isn’t a bad idea. Even if you have to wait for him

Understandable, but not this early in the draft. He has the frame, arm strength and accuracy to stick it out in the NFL for a couple of years.

I don’t think BC is hurting for starting Canadians. Even so, the qbs don’t count in the overall player ratio (entire roster). Also don’t think they count in the ratio of game day starters either - so there would be no major benefit to BC having a backup Canadian qb. But someone please feel free to correct me if I’m out to lunch on this.

If you’re going to burn a first round pick on a qb then I’d use it on Rourke and hope he pays off in 3-4 years. Seems a lot more polished than Elgersma at this point.

They count as the starting ratio but not the roster ratio. Brandon Bridge got it changed, during his time.

The Als have two stud Canadian LBs already.

Wouldn’t mind Hubert, Versuk and Newell.

Players who are eligible drafted are on the bubble it will depend on who signs free agent contracts at the end of the NFL draft

We’ll get the scraps unfortunately
There used to be a time when the NFL was looking at different players than we were

But the NFL game has evolved to look more Canadian without the three downs and larger field

So the players are now being wooed by the bigger paychecks and NFL recognition

So we’ll just have to see how the free agent signing. After the draft shakes out before we actually see who’s coming north or staying North
