TO Caretaker, RE:PIGSKIN PETE

Caretaker, could you please bring back a pigskin next year.... the experience without him is just not the same. Paul and the concept of Pigskin is something you can't have replaced by the great representatives at Pioneer. I know you are a big fan of marketing so here is my idea as to how you can facilitate the search for a “New Pigskin?.

The Apprentice: Pigskin Pete Edition

18 contestants start and each week (Starting in week 2) an individual is eliminated. The results are shown at the game on the Tigervision at half time. Either yourself or Paul could play the role of The Donald. Every contestant when being fired receives some sort of prize for coming out so there are no hard feelings, perhaps some tickets or memorabilia.

Enhancing the game day experience (along with the on-field product) are two important components to maintaining the sustainability of the Tigercats in the future. What better way to incorporate the community than by auditioning 18 of its own for the ultimate prize of becoming Pigskin Pete?

Give it a thought

cool.

A sort of reality Pete competition. Maybe cable 14 could air something

We must have a new pigskin...

Awesome idea.

You could also have 10 potential pigskins designated, introduce them at the first game's half-time and let them all do the cheer together. You could eliminate one each game from then on depending on who has the lowest vote total based on the fans voting online for their favourite pigskin. You could give them an increasing amount of the game as 'pigskin pete' too, by the time you are down to 4 they get a quarter each, when it's done to 2 they each get a half, etc.

I like the idea of a reality tv style competition for the job. I may even enter.

Ya cable 14 could work too. I just really miss the iconic Pigskin. Seeing Paul after the game at Crabby's on Saturday really made me think about what was missing from the experience.

Clearly at this point in time Caretaker and Mitchel have more pressing issues to worry about, ie a new GM & fielding a competitive team, but this should be third on their list of To-Do.

You could feed the loser each week to that tiger from the Bowmanville zoo - people would pay to watch that.

lol…naw that we will reserve for the players who insist upon personal fowls…5 minutes in a cage with a wild animal at half time, enjoy!

I think that crazy dude Anderson just might scare the tiger.

Great ideas here for sure!
