Time Management

Wondered about the game plan or time management, or lack of.

The Cats started the game with a no-huddle offense, supposedly to keep the Argo defense off balance and make it difficult to send in plays or substitute players.

Good plan if the TiCat offense was in sync but that was not to be.

I do have to wonder about all the wasted time, especially late in the game.

Even though behind by 20 points, the offense was very slow in getting the ball into play, often using 15 to the full 20 seconds to snap the ball. One would think we had the lead and the clock was of no consequence.

If ever there was a time for a hurry-up offense, the last half of game when behind by so much seemed like the logical and intelligent time to implement it.

IMO anyway.

The team quit in the second half, plain and simple.

If you are withing striking distance then yes, time management could have played a factor last nite but we were so far out of it after the Argos put up a TD in their first drive after half that I don't think it really mattered.
