It’s still called Hamilton Stadium but where’s the TD Place From
I’m pretty sure it will end up being Juravinski Stadium and Lincoln Alexander/Ron Joyce/David Braley Field.
If the team doesnt get some wins (maybe the home opener?) nobody will want their name on the stadium.
If not flying with Porter Air if this is how they do business.
Whoever posted that screwed up and was looking at Ottawa’s home opener on Friday.
Surprised that it’s mid June and still no announcement of naming rights, it’s been going on since last December.
If you scroll up someone posted a screenshot from the CFL schedule which you can get synced to your phone. It says TD Place: Hamilton Stadium as the location for all the home games for some reason
Someone pointed that out a few weeks ago. At this point, with no announcement or leaking news, I think we’re safe to say the TD Place name was nothing more than a typo.
It sure sounds to me as though there’s no name and nothing imminent.
Yeah I agree I don’t think that’s how we’re going to find out about it. No doubt whoever puts up money for the naming rights is going to want a big announcement to get the most bang for their buck. Just explaining where it comes from
Maybe Krispey Kreme? they are coming into Canada big time and just opened their first store in Hamilton. Some people will be happy to keep calling it the donut box.
I suspect there’s just not enough value… A bunch of TSN mentions to CFL fans across the country, exposure to the 40-50k unique individuals that will attend games over the course of the season, and whatever you get in the actual neighborhood doesn’t justify the $Ms it would cost.
If nobody puts up the bucks
Then call it Faloney/Moska/Henley Stadium
FMH Field
TiCats own the naming rights for 10 more years
They can do what they want
They need to figure it out. Hamilton Stadium is the most stale thing they could come up with.
Speedy/Mosca/Henley Stadium - the SMH Stadium… lol
Eustawinalot Stadium
Startumslow Stadium
Cupenvy Stadium
Boulevard-of-Broken-Dreams Stadium
O - 5 stadium.
I think you’re correct. I’m sure there’s companies out there interested, just not at the price the price the cats are currently asking.
Apparently there’s an influx of American fast food chains coming into Canada. Maybe Jersey Mike’s or Jimmie John’s see value in introducing themselves in a significant way to what is surely their core audience.
The Blue Bombers played in Winnipeg Stadium for many many years.
I’d say very few, and definitely.
Its a good thing our city doesn’t have the same name as that town in Newfoundland. Welcome to Dildo Stadium.
There are stadiums all over North America with much smaller capacity that have naming rights. At least Krispey Creme is a huge brand and have the money to back it up.
Winnipeg has a local tire company naming rights.
And no company is going to pay for the naming rights and then call it Henley/Faloney stadium etc Most fans were not born when these guys played.
