Accept people are QQing after the things have been fixed

And no one Cried about that

If you ever have a job that requires you to be accountable for something, you’ll understand that this level of MONUMENTAL F@CKUP, casts doubt on the legitimacy of every safety-related signoff in the construction of the building. People made less noise about the light standard at Ivor Wynne because it wasn’t a failure in a BRAND NEW BUILDING.

My Job has nothing to do with it, and If i mess up in my Job people have there lives ruined don’t give me any shit about Accountability THE CITY ( Who Owns The Building ) Should have their Inspectors on the Job every day checking these things, not sitting around play Rummy and Drinking Coffee , nothing to do with the Stadium should be bitched about on the Tiger Cats Forums they are only The Tenant go post you displeasure with the people responsible The City Of Hamilton

PS If The Tiger Cats Owned the Stadium all these things would be checked on a regular basis Have A Nice Day

The Tiger Cats chose to occupy this stadium. Regardless of the stadiums ownership, as tenants the Tiger Cats have much responsibility to ensure a safe enviroment exists for those they invite into the premises. Should a failure like this occur while fans are in the stands the Tiger Cats could end up facing legal action. Surely fans can use this forum to express any concern for their game day experience? As has been the case in the past.

Your earlier comments downplayed the reality that this was a MAJOR safety failure, and implied that mere after-the-fact correction of this particular failure should be the end of the story, and that there is no legitimate reason for continuing concern.

My post wasn’t about pointing a finger specifically at the Tiger-Cats, it was about acknowledging that people are right to be upset that this happened. This should not, and by media accounts, is not, being presumed by the City to be an isolated problem.

I expect the City and other parties involved in THF-related litigation are engaged in mutual accusations of misconduct with respect to the stadium project. Judging by the Algo Centre Mall collapse in Elliot Lake, it’s unlikely anyone will face criminal charges unless/until there’s loss of life:

That trial is scheduled to begin this September:
