Tiger-Cats Vs. Bombers Play-by-Play Game Thread (8/13/2010)

Fair enough. I’m sure we’ve all done it at one point or another.

I haven’t driven in Winterpeg that much, and never at rush hour, so you could be right about the traffic there.

what’s the population of Hamilton these days???

I'd love to be wrong and surprised, but I exoect a decisive victory by the home team tonight.

There’s this thing on the Internet called Google. I typed in ‘Winniepeg population’ and here’s the first thing that came up: http://www.winnipeg.ca/cao/pdfs/population.pdf

Now before anyone chides me on how 675K is more than Hamilton’s 500K I’ll point out that Winnipeg is well laid out, doesn’t have millions of people living around it and the last time I was there (ten years ago) getting around was really easy.

Jerkface pointed out that TSN probably wants to run its golf coverage as long as possible. I can’t argue with that. The more coverage of that course the better.

No...we don't have millions of people living around us...thankfully, but I think you'd be pretty hard pressed to find any Winnipeger who'd agree the city is well laid out...

Always believed the start times were purely to accommodate tv times...

Anyhoo... GO BLUE!

From Twitter: Tonight's #Ticats scratches: LB Ike Brown, OL Brian Ramsay, WR Reggie Fish and DE Khari Long

Interesting that Khari Long is a scratch, that means Hickman is good to go.

Thanks for the compliments on how I started off the game thread.

Yes, the only surprise among those scratches was Long. I thought if a DE was going to sit this out, it would be Hickman. What will our front four look like?

I thought two players who got praised a lot prior to this season, Fish and MacKay, would play their first regular season games in 2010 tonight. Looks like tonight won’t be the night for Fish to make his debut, but I look forward to seeing MacKay play.

The weather forecast says it’ll rain tonight, but if it rains during the game, it’ll just be at the end of it. That’s good to know, because we just can’t gain rushing yards. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/hourly … _st_hourly

I don’t understand why Pierce is starting. I thought Jyles wasn’t bad last week, and I understand that Pierce will not be at 100%.

To tell you the truth, I don’t know about our chances of winning tonight. But regardless of the outcome of tonight’s game, at least one team will have a record that’s worse than ours.

Tuning into CHML now.

They just said golf was on for another hour. Anyone got a link for on-line watching, because I'm assuming they won't cut in. I don't have tsn2.

I’m going to check channelsurfing.net.

channelsurfing.net

I tink theyll do what they did last night and go straight from golf to a miniature rant by randorf and climie then the game.....TSN2 just has Tennis right now and all night...

TSN WILL have the game at 8:30. TSN2 has tennis. The golf will be shifted to on-line.

Never mind, Friday night football is on TSN now!

That’s more like it!

Did not want to have to put up with the lag and other issues that come with watching it online.

Good evening folks!

Time for...

FOOTBALL

LMFAO

:)

The TSN panel have made it clear that they are all onside with Bob.
For whatever that's worth!

From Drew's blog:

8:25: New Bomber kicker Louis Sakoda has pulled a muscle and can't go. So linebacker Chris Smith or punter Mike Renaud will handle. Anybody got a number for Nick Setta? Or Troy Westwood?
