Tiger-Cats vs. Bombers Play-by-Play Game Thread (7/18/2009)

Tiger-Cats vs. Blue Bombers: July 18, 2009

Tiger-Cats gameday is here again. And so the time to post the thread for posting about the game as it's happening has come. So I'll get it started off once again. On a personal note, I would like to say I might not get to see this game, so I hope to see some good detailed posts on what happened that I can read later on. Anyway, here we go.

WHAT – Tiger-Cats Gameday: Tiger-Cats vs. Blue Bombers.

WHO - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

WHY – To see which of these two 1-1 teams that got unexpected wins last week can get over .500 and leave the other team with a 1-2 record.

WHERE - Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton, Ontario.

WHEN - Saturday, July 18th, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. EDT.

HOW - Radio: CHML (900 kHz AM) or Y108 (107.9 MHz FM) broadcasting from Hamilton.

Television: TSN.

Internet: Visit http://www.900chml.com and click the “listen live? link, or simply click here to listen to CHML now.

Click here to view CFL.ca's live scoreboard for recent games. You can click the link to view this game's scoreboard whenever it becomes available, which will likely be just after the opening kickoff.

Click here for tonight's weather forecast. At the time I'm posting this, there is a 40% probability of precipitation this evening and winds of 20 km/h are expected. And at time this was posted, it was expected that the temperature will be about 18 degrees Celsius.

After an off-field incident that happened this week, these two teams look to settle it on the field. On this Retro Night, let's hope the Ticats look about as impressive as they did back in the sixties. And let's hope Kelly will be saying "I don't wanna talk about it" once again when asked about the result of this game. And just one more thing...

Go Ticats!

Just checked the weather radar and nothing serious seems to be out there so it looks like a good weather evening so far.

Go Cats!

Thanks for the tee-up as always, BYF!

Let's hope the Cats HANDLE THIS EXTERNALLY!

Oski Wee Wee,

Thanks for your excellent game day thread once again, BobYoungFan.

The concept of attending a Ticat home game with sole possession of second place in the East Division on the line is refreshing and exciting. Go Cats Go!

Word on the streets is the Cats think the game is an issue, its being handled externally and they are talking about it.

There's a featured slide show on the Hamilton Spectator website today....... re: Deandra' Cobb

I can't get the darn thing to work but maybe others will have better success

http://www.thespec.com/

to be honest i really i didn't like our retros at first, but now everytime i seem them im liking it more and more.

looking forward to the game.

and what ever happened to the prediction thread? (can't remember who ran it)

Can't wait to head down to the stadium!! Gonna watch some Rider/Als action first. Good luck Team!! Lets give them a great crowd today.

8) I wonder how many fans will show up at 7pm for the game, not even realizing this game starts at 6pm tonight !!!

haha! thats a good point, i bet there will be a few.

This one could be a real nut cruncher.

I’m a CFL fan first and foremost, but amongst the teams, for me Montreal is #1 and Hamilton #1A.

So I’m looking forward to two good games today, and two wins for my two favourite teams…

I cheer for Montreal as long as they are not playing Hamilton or BC.

I cheer for 4 CFL teams in this order:

  1. Hamilton
  2. BC
  3. Montreal
  4. Saskatchewan

I can only bring myself to cheer for the other 4 if it will help one of the above 4. Today though I will have to put Sask. before Mont. because a Rider win means if Hamilton wins we are tied for 1st in the east. Been a loooong time since that has happened. I think 99 was the last time we were first at any point in any season since.

And I"m already happy because of last night.

I suppose most all of us on this board can agree that our least favourite team happens to be that blew team....................so i'm quite pleased they got blown out last night...............

I hoping for Great game and Good Win.

Well I will not be participating in tonight's GDT but once again BYF does a masterful job

Have fun with it guys/gals

GO CATS!!!!!!!!

So, sole possession of second place is up for grabs tonight! Week three and already this is a huge game. It may come down to one win. Lose this game and we fall behind the blue team even, into fourth place. When play off time nears we may look back to this game as one that put us above or under the cut off, although every game contributes, but I believe we will battle the bombers for a home play off game, and this'll keep the A**** in the basement :rockin: .

Three hours 'till kickoff!

Tsn will prolly be slow getting to the cat game again due to early game. Two networks and they still cant cover games from start to end. The games should start 3.5 hours apart and not 3 maybe. It will be close and would be nice if they had a plan to show it somehow but they didnt last game.

Still 45 minutes to game time and the thread is already on it’s second page

Now if I can get my wife to stop switching between that stupid hip-hop countdown on MuchMore and the Mystery Diagnosis on TLC… :x :x :x :x

Go Cats Go. I am stuck here in Vegas done playing for the day. Had my Jersey on all day at the table.

GO CATS GO.
