It has only been five days since the last game thread, but gameday is here again as the rematch from Labour Day gets played today. And so it is time once again for the play-by-play game thread, the thread for commenting on the game as it happens, to be posted. In that short period of time between games were a few lineup changes for the Ticats were made. What happened off the field, with Printers replacing Maas, could be considered more interesting than this game. But the Ticats, led for now by Timmy Chang, look to prove a few critics wrong.

WHAT – Tiger-Cats Gameday: Tiger-Cats vs. Blue Team

WHO - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and that blue team.

WHY – To see if the Ticats can get a win in Toronto (it’s been too long since that’s happened) and catch up with the blue team in the standings.

WHERE - The blue team’s house (formerly known as the SkyDome, and “officially? known as the Rogers Centre) in Toronto, Ontario.

WHEN - Saturday, September 8th, at 3:00 p.m. EDT

HOW - Radio: CHML (900 kHz AM) broadcasting from Hamilton, or The FAN 590 (590kHz AM) broadcasting from Toronto.

Television: CBC. The game is available in HD.

Internet: Visit www.900chml.com and click the “listen live? link, or simply click here to listen to CHML now.
You can also visit www.fan590.com and click the “listen live? link if you would like to hear the game from the perspective of Toronto’s talking heads.

It is also available via CFL broadband, which you can sign up for if you click here. It will also be available via CBC’s website, and you can bring up its Internet broadcast if you click here.

Click here for the Tiger-Cats depth chart. Chang is listed as the starting quarterback again, but that is because of this little lineup change from last week, in which Maas is replaced by Printers, C. But in this article, which you can read if you click here, Taaffe said there a better chance of him playing than Printers. (Well, I would think Taaffe knows the playbook a little better.) (And should Taaffe then be listed there as the third-sting quarterback on that chart?) And Lumsden is sitting this one out again.

Click here for that "interactive" depth chart.

The blue team’s depth chart is not yet available, but you can click here to view previous depth charts of theirs, and the one for this game whenever it comes up.

Click here for this afternoon's weather forecast. Right now, there is a 10% probability of precipitation this afternoon, so the dome will likely be retracted for this one. Northwest winds of 10 km/h are expected. And at this time, it is expected that the temperature is expected to be about 26 degrees Celsius, but it's expected to feel like 31 degrees with the humidity.

And so in this Labour Day rematch, the Ticats take on the blue team, once again led by the quarterback(s) who might have a future with the team. The quarterback who was just recently acquired, who is likely the present and future of the team is listed as a third-string quarterback, and almost certainly will not play. It would have been interesting to see what difference Printers would have made, but we’ll just have to wait. Chang was trusted against this same team last week, but can he redeem himself? Will this team rise to the challenge and prove some critics wrong, and give its fans reason to believe this team may have a good future ahead?

Go Ticats!

Thanks again as always, BYF!

Oski Wee Wee,

Nice job, BYF. I'd love to make it down there, but a prior commitment got in the way.

it is pretty crazy that the cats are still in the playoff race

if we win tonight we'll be only 3 points out of the playoffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and then Casey Would take over for the res of the season!!!!!

it still aint over boys

That’s it. If by some miracle the Cats can pull off an upset today, it will be a very, very different world. A win today combined with Printers at the helm for the remainder means that this season isn’t a write-off yet. Maybe Chang will show something. Maybe Williams and his App. State mojo will come off the bench and deliver an upset. Maybe Printers will start after all, just as Pinner suspects.

I have donned my forbidden button, and am about to leave for the Crydome. I’ll bring extras to give away to interested parties, just in case. Best case scenario: we win. Worst case scenario: joy will be brought to argo fans’ lives as they shower me with peanuts, beer, and various other projectiles.

Me and my two buds will be making the trip, we're taking the massive flag so I'm just hoping we don't get embarrassed.

Having to do the walk of shame after the 48-0 debacle is not a memory that is easily washed away. And oh how I’ve tried to wash it away.

Good Work BYF

Maybe just the precense of Printers and the absence of Maas from the team will be enough to lift the black cloud from Hamilton

Upset win for the Cats coming

See everyone in a few hours

One hour to kick-off.

The CHML pregame is at 2:30?

I assume so; Roy Green's on now. I miss not hearing him in the mornings.

Gee Russ, CHML HAS to give enough air-time to that blow-hard Green...

I'll tell you my opinions in pm, if you wish... lol

Does CHML feel it is not necessary to have a pregame show anymore? Do they think this is 2003 again???

I just wondered the same thing
I just turned on CHML

I'm going to catch the game on TV while perched on my balcony. A beautiful Montreal afternoon...I hope for a good game!

I'll be posting periodically here.

Enjoy it folks!

Oski Wee Wee,

Crap. Apparently Armstead has "sore ribs".

Did that come from ripping off his #1 jersey to hand to Printers too quickley???

Are the Cats wearing those stupid white pants?

no surprise

2-0 Cats
