Tiger-Cats vs. Alouettes Play-by-Play Game Thread: 9/11/2011

Tiger-Cats vs. Alouettes: September 11, 2011

Tiger-Cats gameday is here again, and so it is time to post the thread for posting about the game as it happens. If you want to post about the game as it's happening, this is the place to do so. There may be many posts here, as this game is not anywhere near where most Ticat fans can get to. I expect lots of posting and page refreshing to be going on today. And so here we go.

WHAT – Tiger-Cats Gameday. Tiger-Cats vs. Alouettes. The Labour Day Rematch. Or, The Classique, Part Deux.

WHO - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Montreal Alouettes.

WHY – To see if the Ticats can improve their record to 6-4 and win the season series against Montreal today.

WHERE - Percival Molson Stadium in Montreal, Quebec.

WHEN - Sunday, September 11th, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

HOW - Radio: CHML (900 kHz AM) or Y108 (107.9 MHz FM) broadcasting from Hamilton.

Click here for today's weather forecast. At the time I'm posting this, there is a 10% probability of precipitation this afternoon and southwest winds of 15 km/h are expected. And at time this was posted, it was expected that the temperature will be about 23 degrees Celsius.

After looking impressive in defeating the Als on Labour Day, the Ticats look to do that once again in the rematch in Montreal. They have a three game wining streak against the Larks, but have some things to prove. They need to prove that they can win the game after Labour Day, something they have not done in a long time. They need to prove that they can win in Montreal, something they have not done since 2002. They need to prove that they are not just good enough to be a .500 team, as .500 is what their record will be if they lose. And now having said all that, I say...

Go Ticats!

Thanks as always, BYF!

Is this Act Three? We shall see....

TSN.ca's game preview is linked above.

Oski Wee Wee,

Uhmm.. why is TSN broadcasting Sunday NFL Countdown??.. How about the Countdown to CFL guys!!

Great job, BYF.

Does anyone know the last time the TiCats swept the Larks?

Oskie Wee Wee!

We play Montreal 2 more times so today is not a broom day

Can’t remember don’t we ever have swept them since the returned

Last win in Montreal was 2002, so it may have been in the 1998-1999 Grey Cup runs, otherwise during the 80s Concordes-Als debacles…

Oski Wee Wee,

Nice Job BYF
Happy Moon Festival
It's the Mid-Autumn Festival over here this weekend or as I call it National BBQ Day. It's the only day of the year when people here BBQ.
Go Cats

One of the best anthem performances I've heard in a long time. Very well done.

Thanks for the compliments on how I started off the thread

Well, there's always CHML.

And TSN's coverage is on now.

#Ticats scratches vs. #Alouettes: RB T.Grant, WR A. Kelly, DB R. Wladichuk, DB M.Grant. So DT Matt Kirk makes his season debut.
It may be interesting to see how they use the NI DTs this game. And we'll see how Dewit will do. Hope his shotgun snaps will be good.

Was interesting to see Baggs sing O Canada.

Was good to hear that and America the Beautiful.

Thank you, BobYoungFan for the game thread.

Go Tiger cats!!!!!!!

Ok Tabbies.. time to repeat last week.....

Game on.

Als start on offence.

No Rod Black? Nothing to drive us to drink?

In 2001 it happened, but not sure about within the last 10 years.

I am watching on RDS.

Their AC had all day to throw on the 21 yard Watkins gain. That was unusual to see, hope to see less of that.

GREAT job D!!
