Tiger-Cats vs. Alouettes: June 26, 2008
The time for both the Ticats season and the CFL season to begin has finally arrived. And so it is time for the play-by-play game thread for discussion of the first meaningful game of the Ticats and CFL seasons as it happens to be posted here. Much will be said about this game here in the next few days, and by posting here, you can be one of the first to comment on what happens during the game. Many of those who might usually post here will be at the game. But at least those who are unable to get to IWS can see this game on television, unlike the two preseason games. And so here we are. The long-awaited season opener for this 2008 season, which we have waited for since the end of the 2007 season, is finally here. Will this 2008 season be different from previous ones for the Ticats? On this day, we hope it this season will be different from previous ones in that it will begin with a win. We have come to understand the importance of getting off to a good start. And it would be even more important for that to happen against a team the Ticats may be competing with in the standings this year. A new season is finally here, and having said that, there is only one more thing I have left to say...
