It certainly was disappointing to hear how much noise was made when the Ticats were on offence. Farr had to "shush" the crowd at least once unfortunately. Certain fans need to be told to be quiet when the team is on offence.
I was also disappointed with the number of people who had to walk around from one place to another when a play was happening, getting in the way of those who want to see the game, but that's a different story.
Farr and whoever else is responsible for gameday P.A. at Ticat games should go to a few Montreal games (or even watch on TV) and notice there's usually a lack of obnoxious music, advertising, or other announcements not just when the home team steps to the line, but when they are IN THE HUDDLE. I was literally JEALOUS of how quiet they keep their stadium when the home team's offense is at work.
At our stadium it seems like they often run prerecorded ads almost right to the snap of the ball, even when our offense is out there. A lot of fans are dumb, but Farr (or his boss) is often just as bad.
Agreed 100%.... Maybe its his boss, but I've always got the impression that Farr doesn't understand the game of football, and isn't helping our team any in his role in the booth.
I think you're mostly preaching to the screaming choir here.
So instead, you should MAKE SOME SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGNS that tell everyone to MAKE SOME NOOOOOOOOOOISE!!!!! on defence and to BE QUIIIIIIIIIIET on offence, bring them to the game, and hold up the appropriate sign at the appropriate time.
Oh and if anyone tells you to stop making noise when the cats D is on the field they have some issues. Just make sure your nice and quiet when Glenn is out there.
