Ticats TV has introduced the HelmetCam, which will be used throughout training camp to bring fans closer to the field than they have ever been before.

Very cool the speed is unreal
Give me new Respect for our Players

It was said in that video Glenn and Porter had cameras on their helmets, and that there would be these helmet cam segments throughout the season. I'm looking forward to this.

I also remember hearing that there would be video blogs from the players. I'd like to hear what Dyakowski and Floyd will have to say during training camp again.

Pete Dyakowski’s TC vid logs are AMAZING!Can’t wait for this year’s installments

Did you see the car he showed up with LOL ! Cohon and his "green" program would pass out when they see this thing. I think he stole it from Elwood Blues.

Pete Likes his Hooptie
He Brought it almost 3 seasons ago

"these tiny mounted cameras..."?

I wouldn't even use the word small to describe that thing, let alone tiny. It would be cool if they could come up with something to get get actual game footage from that perspective though.

I thought it was funny how they called it a state of the art technology and it just looks like a standard camera attached to a strap.. which will pop off in 1 hit.

What is this helmet camera thingy? What are you all talking about. I can only see Kate McKenna. 8)

It is easier to share these videos on social networking websites like facebook and twitter if they are on YouTube. It is also easier to embed the videos in blogs and other websites. I hope these videos end up on YouTube!

Looks like a plastic incased digital cam not state of the art, but cool view none the less

According to the Ticats Confidential blog, Hickman and Rottier had these cameras on their helmets today.

I thought the QBs would have the helmet cams, but it'll still be interesting to get that good a look at what happens in the trenches. And what happened there in the trenches was the focus in today's training camp report: http://www.ticats.ca/video/index/id/11515

And it looks like it'll be Mann and McIntyre who'll be doing video blogs this year, according to Mann's first video blog: http://www.ticats.ca/video/index/id/11525

Last year I remember Otis Floyd, Peter Dyakowski and Nick Setta did the TC vlogs.Hoping that Dyakowski will do another set this year, he’s awesome.

The first helmet cam video, featuring DE Justin Hickman, is now online:

I think the cheerleaders should have these cameras

Just watched it. It was funny. I like this idea.

Buratto pointed out how useful these cameras are to him in the video where we saw clips from videos taken from the camera on Rottier's helmet: http://ticats.ca/video/index/id/11631

And I had to laugh about 35 seconds into the video after hearing this:
"You've got something on your helmet"
"Yeah... I'll make sure I look at you."

And Hage seemed fascinated by that camera, didn't he?

Looking forward to see the helmet cam videos taken by Tafralis and Bruce.
