Whoa, no Tommy Grant? The guy is in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, so I think he deserves a mention. Also, I wouldn't have Tony Gabriel on there. When I think of Gabriel I think of the Ottawa Rough Riders. Sure, he played here and won a Grey Cup, but he's synonymous with the Rough Riders, not the Tiger-Cats.
Similarly, when I, and I’d think most people, think of Hank Illesic the thoughts are of him as an Eskimo or an Ar…
The punter here should be either Cam Fraser or Joe Zuger.
One of the earliest posters on this site (Zuger9) one who may no longer be with us as he just stopped posting one day, gave us this great all-time depth chart.
Yes, this was a superb piece of work by Zuger9, who I remember fondly. I don’t know what happened to him… as you say, he just stopped posting. I don’t see him on the list of members any longer. I hope nothing untoward happened.
He did a lot of work in putting this together. I remember many members contributing comments and suggestions, me included. He was very gracious and knowledgeable in his replies to the suggestions, accepting some and rejecting others. No one objected to him having the final say. The final product is hard to argue with.
One thing I recall he did emphasize was that the first names on the list were intended as the starters for each position, but there was no sequence intended in the second and third names.
Not at all. One of the issues in doing a list like this is that positions have changed over the years as schemes have evolved. This is especially so on offence. Back in the day, there was no slotback, there was a split end, a tight end and a flanker, and teams tended to have two HBs and a FB. So you get into some apples and oranges comparisons. All good grist for the mill.
Zuger9's depth chart looks pretty much bang on, although there might be a couple of starting spots I still might argue. The question now is whether any players have come up since 2005 to contend for a spot, starting or not. Marwan Hage perhaps? Jamal Johnson maybe? Nick Setta? I'm sure that if Medlock had stuck around another year or two, he would have taken over one of the kicker spots.

It's not just Ralph....there are several spelling mistakes.
Surely if you like these fella's so much you can spell their names right!
However I agree with many of your choices. Your selection is a great start to the thread.
I will be voting as often as allowed (and as often as I remember) so my opinions on the best all-time Ticat players are taken into account. I am, however, disappointed that I am yet again not eligible to win any of the prizes just because I don't live in the Hamilton area.
