HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced on Monday that the football club has added American receiver Justin Marshall.
No disrespect to Marshall, but why would the Cats bring in a new prospect at this time? They need far more than just another receiver - they can start at the top and work their way down the list.
When a team is not making the playoffs, every new prospect signed matters because plans for camp for next season have already started.
The better prospects go fast too if they are not staying in the US to play in the UFL or otherwise, so there’s some new competition at hand now there too for some of these prospects.
