"The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed non-import linebacker C.O. Prime, import defensive back Kevin Barnes and import running back Kendial Lawrence.

Prime, a 6-1, 261-pound native of Laval, Quebec, attended training camp with the Indianapolis Colts last month after the Ticats selected him in the third round (19th overall) of the 2013 CFL Draft. In four seasons at Wagner, he registered 278 tackles.

Barnes, a 6-1, 190-pound native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, spent time with the Cleveland Browns earlier this year following one season with the Detroit Lions and three seasons with the Washington Redskins. In 31 career NFL games, the Maryland product made 45 tackles and three interceptions.

Lawrence, a 5-9, 195-pound native of Rockwall, Texas, took part in training camp with the Dallas Cowboys last month. In four seasons at Missouri, he ran for 2,409 yards and 21 touchdowns while catching 40 passes for 296 receiving yards.

The Ticats also announced that import receiver Dexter Jackson has been removed from the practice roster."

So much for HAM who "can't sign draft picks." LOL

Barnes is a true NFL vet. Lets see if he makes an impact when given a chance. Since the DB's can't stay healthy, they need proven talent to step in.

Always been a big fan of Kevin Barnes, I even make sure hes on my team every time on madden 13 last year and madden 25 this year
And have heard nothing but good things about C.O. Prime who also happens to be N/I

Yeah, not a lot of surprise there. Reciever is our deepest posistion. I mean, Fantuz, Giguere, Stala, Charbonneau-Campeau is plenty of non-import depth. Then you add Jones, Grant and Ellingson on top of that, and the fact you have Dobson on the PR, there's ample room there.

I have to say though, comming from the NFL to the CFL practice roster, Barnes clearly has a passion for the game. I mean PR players make around $2,500 a month compared to the NFL minmum of $405,000 or the NFL practice roster salary of $6,000 per week. Now that is a player who loves the game.

A giant hit from Barnes' college days:

I just noticed that the guy he hits pukes at the end of the video. Now that is a hit!

If he still hits like that, he will fit right in.
