HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced on Tuesday an updated football operations structure for the club that sees Orlondo Steinauer focus on the president of football operations role, while Ed Hervey has been named the team’s general manager. The club’s next head coach will be announced later this week.
Even though I mused that Steinhauer should give up the HC role (to Milanovich), I didn’t honestly see him stepping down. The move to GM for Hervey had also been mentioned by someone previously. These are excellent moves by the TiCats. Whether Milanovich is the next HC who knows. But it seems like a natural progression.
TiCat fans should be really excited. Hervey had some controversies but he’s been successful as a GM.
Not sure about the Hervey appointment. After his Edmonton success, he did not replicate that in BC. I suppose we will know more when we see how the Cats signings and FA process unfolds.
I believe these changes have been in the works for a long time. I am happy to see that the Ctas are making moves early and to get things on place with plenty of time before the 2024 season. Steinhauer is a great football person and knows his stuff - Milanovich was a good move for the team, Now I wonder who will be their OC?
