With the big win last night I figured we will spend most of today going through the scenarios, so here’s where we stand.
Hamilton - WPG, CAL, @OTT
Toronto - @WPG , OTT, @EDM
Saskatchewan - @EDM , BC, CAL
and dont forget
Ottawa - @MTL , @TOR , HAM
Edmonton - SSK, @ CAL, TOR
BC - CAL, @SSK , MTL
What path do we feel is the most realistic to get into the playoffs?
If we could get Toronto and Sask to both lose today - we’d really be in business.

Look at Ottawa’s schedule… Very reasonable they don’t win again.

Regarding the Cat’s schedule, next week in Winnipeg will be the biggest challenge. I’m not too concerned about Calgary and Ottawa.
It’s really hard to say with Toronto and Saskatchewan’s remaining games.
I’m thinking we finish third in the east.

There is a very realistic scenario where we win 2/3 remaining games and catch Ottawa.

True. We can finish tied at 3rd with either RBs or Argos and get in via tie breaker (pending final game against RBs).

To tie the RedBlacks we need them to lose every game, we need to win 2 of 3 and tie the 3rd game.
We can still host a playoff game if we win out, Ottawa loses the remaining games, and Toronto wins at most 2 games.

Am I missing something here? Ottawa has 17 points and the most the 'Cats can get is 18 which would mean three more wins to pass Ottawa. Two wins and one tie would tie Ottawa if they lost all of their remaining games but that scenario seems really unlikely.

You are not missing something. I missed the tie and was only looking at Wins. So we’d have to win out and if that happens we probably get anyways.
So it’s probably best if Ottawa defeats Glen Suitor’s favourite team today?

Yes in that case I guess our sights are still set on Sask and Tor.
Thats why you’re the pope.

I have a weird feeling our toughest game will be Calgary at home. Especially if the Cats manage a big win next week over the Bombers. Don’t look past the Stamps in that one.

Am I the only who is seeing that in a possible West crossover scenario that instead of looking at the Riders in reality we might be looking at the Lions as the team that we might have to surpass for that play-off spot.

Ottawa has really been a bit of a fraud all year.
Won a few games they really had no business winning and now they’re hanging on for dear life.

Money Hunter just took out a SSK WR’s knee on a low hit. The knee bent backwards - and I fear the player will be done for a year.
If it had been Simoni, Suitor would be calling 911…

We have seen this before.
