Ticats logo copied?

I was just watching “Million Pound Menu” on Netflix and one of the restaurants competing was called Tiger Bites Bao.

This is their logo:
tigerbites

Looks like a pretty close copy of the Tiger-Cats logo with a few colour changes and a few sections erased.

What do Cats fans think? Should the Caretaker send #21 over to England to take care of them?

Nah. It’s not close enough. There’s only so many ways to draw a Tiger’s head.

Yeah, they’ve probably changed it enough, but I think the Ticats logo was clearly the starting point.

Maybe they copied LSU, they have had a Tiger logo long before the Tiger-Cats… :zipper_mouth_face:

LOL, I do not see a resemblance.
More of an orange Mountain Lion than a tiger.

Maybe BC will sue.

That logo isn’t even close Dave . Now if you want to see a logo copied all you have to do is look at the Princeton Tigers of the NCAA Ivy League .

Actually I would think that not only the Ti-Cats but also the NFL’s Bengals might have something to say about Princeton and their logos .

I give you Exhibit A …their Tiger logo .

Next I’ll give you Exhibit B…Their Bengal logo .

I knew Ivy League schols were smart.
Just copy a logo instead of spending a lot of time to be unique.

Yup . Lots and lots and lots of them for sure BUT we are the ONLY ones that are officially Tiger - Cats . :smiley_cat: :tiger: :tiger2:

Most of those logos are orange. Much like tigers themselves.

We don’t see many tigers in Southern Ontario, especially way back in the day. So we chose gold. I’m fine with that.

(I was going to say that we invented the “tiger cat” but apparently they are a real animal.)

I agree that it is probably 100% true that the basic design started from the same elements if you look at the teeth and ear shape and nose and whiskers. Many of these design and marketing firms have a lot of the same "stock images " or designs in their data bases or design software.
People that are saying these logos aren’t close, aren’t looking deep enough.
It is also possible the same design company did both logos, but there is also enough changed that it would not be considered a copyright infringement.

No question in my mind, at all. Except for colouring, the artwork on the teeth, nose, and “moustache” is an exact copy of our tiger, and the placement of the eyes and ears, on the head, is the same, as well.

Also, the new Kia logo is a complete rip-off of the Nine Inch Nails logo that has been used for decades…

Didn’t know there was such an animal that was called a Tiger-Cat, the name came about because of the Flying Tigers/Wildcats merger, the name doesn’t make much sense.
Like naming a team the Lion-Cats

I agree the name doesn’t make much sense it’s almost as stupid as calling a team by two combined colors like the REDBLACKS .

So why is it that they call it a tuna fish sandwich but yet a salmon fish sandwich is just a plain salmon sandwich ? :fish:
