Ticats, Lions looking to make noise in 2024

TORONTO — It’s a yearly tradition during preseason to attempt to predict everything that is going to happen during a sports season.

If the Lions are in the Grey Cup in their own house they better guard against entering the game too confident. The Ticats did that in 2021 and it showed in the result.

If anything I think Hamilton may have been overconfident in 2019 when they got thumped by Winnipeg. No indication they were overconfident in 2021. Winnipeg was easily the best team in the league that season, Hamilton was only 8-6 and finished second in the east. The game was back and forth with wind playing a huge part in field position. Game was an overtime tossup and the Cats were in position to score a touchdown to win at the end of regulation time.

BC winning the Grey Cup while hosting it this season is a really hard feat to accomplish. History shows It is very rare and nearly impossible. Many have tried but few have done it. In recent history it has not been done, so good luck to Campbell and his squad.

…and the west…is going to be an out and out dogfight this season…I think we are going to see the closest race we have seen in the west in a few years.

And I expect BC to be near the top of the dog pile…

Preseason 1 game one is usually the C’s, D’s, and guys that surprised you in camp. I’m guessing the Elks will see a lot of starters next week in the first half.

The operative word was NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE! I never claimed it was impossible.
