8) More than likely to check them out for next years training camp invitation.
Although, newly arrived DT Terrance Moore could get his first start this Friday, according to Drew !!

Practice roster jumps from 7 to 12 players for a short period of time. Until early November, probably just having a look at these guys.

Could be they're also looking at added depth in case of injury down the stretch.

Monte Lewis is just a rookie DB and John Bowie was a former NFL 4th rnd draft pick in 2007. Bowie has been in a training camp every year since drafted and played some in the NFL but has not played a game since the 2010 UFL season so most likely they are prospects for next year.
The Cats have already recently brought in three CFL imports in trades Torrey Davis DL, Brandaon Peguese DE, and Ricardo Colclough DB. All three have been on there fomer teams 46 man roster all season Peguese and Smith were on the bottom part of DLine rotations and Colvlough has only dressed two or three times when in Edmonton due to the DB depth. Colclough is a pro football vet former NFL Draft pick and is starting at SAM LB. Torrey Davis has been starting a DT but is on the IR this week and Peguese is seeing a lot of time at the DE rotation and playing well. It was no secret that he thought he shold be playing more in BC and he has proved that, he is also great on coverage teams.
Although recently signed to the practice squad true rookie Jaque smith appears to be on the depth chart at DT on the 46 man roster. so you never know. He was relaesed at the end of NFL training camp also
