The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the following players have been added to the nine-game injured list:

NIP DB Ryan Hinds

i gotta say that i'm shocked by this.
i hadn't heard hinds was injured, nor did i think he did so poorly as to warrant being a nine-gamer.
yes, he was beaten by cory watson for that 30-yarder-plus in the exhibition game here — BUT IT WAS OUT OF BOUNDS and wouldn't have withstood a video challenge. and yes, he got crunched by 220-pound scott mchenry in the same game, but he still stopped him (falling over on his back, like a crab, feet in the air ... but still).

perhaps the cats will use their first every-half-season-get-a-guy-off-the-nine-game-list magic card for hinds — but for sure they won't be using it early in the season.

is having wladichuk (whom i like) on the active roster better than having hinds? do we need three safeties on the roster?
will this delay (and not enhance) hinds' development?

i hope marcel and marshall have made the right call ...

How could you not have heard that?

(Excuse me now, while I attempt to pull my firmly planted tongue from my cheek and return to reading the recent "CFl Roster Rules thread.)
