Ti-Cats: Wall of Honour / Hall of Fame / Retired number thread (who should be there)

Lance Shields was one of our better dbs in the 80s. Looked up his stats - 31 interceptions in 64 games from 1986 to 1990. If Felix Wright hadn’t gone to the NFL his numbers might have been as impressive. And I agree Howard Fields probably deserves a place on the wall with his steady play and many years with the team. Remember him as being a bit outspoken though and considering this is run by the alumni, maybe wasn’t a popular guy in the locker room.

I had three game jerseys in the eighties that I rotated wearing at games .

two of the three are already up on the WOH in # 31 Zambiasi and # 23 DiPietro the third jersey was the only jersey that survived and still around today and it is currently hanging on the wall of my sons den and office . That jersey would be my # 16 Howard Fields jersey .

Not sure if a mod can rip the last bunch of posts out and start a Ticats WOH/Hall of Fame/Retired number thread but seems logical at this point.

We could certainly use a Ticats WOH / Hall of Fame / Retired number thread as the topic(s) come up fairly regularly. I'm tinkering at my day job but will try move the posts later today.

Thanks,

GCF

I remember as a boy the adult's arguing about Zuger the way we argue about Masoli!

Zuger did more than Masoli : DB , QB , Punter , Grey Cup MVP , 3 Grey Cups as a player , 10 years as Cat GM with one Grey Cup win . I’m a big Masoli fan but he has a long way to go to be compared to Joe Zuger .

I’m not comparing Masoli to Zuger.

So are you saying Zuger wasn’t “mediocre”?
