Two (bad) teams fighting for their playoff lives should make for a good game, right? In math a negative times a negative results in a positive. That’s my theory anyway. Forget their sad records we could have a good game.

Yep. Hamilton really needs to win but if Ottawa loses it is safe to say they are done for the year as they will fall 3 games behind Hamilton when the season series is taken into account.

I’m really hoping Ottawa can make things interesting down the stretch. If EE can do it why not the RB? Long shot though.

Although the TiCats just played a hard fought game this past Monday they have James Butler to blow the game wide open. He only needs a night’s rest and he’s ready to go on all cylinders. You want a chain link fence taken down? Butler is the man to do it. He won’t dismantle it. He will level it! This is one weapon Ticat QB Powell is happy to hand the ball off too.
Ottawa has had a nice long rest and plenty of time for the injuries to heal
They also have Crum as their QB. This guy can do a number on any team if he gets the protection from his O line. He is also an excellent scrambler and often leaves the opposition with “scrambled” egg on their faces.
The run game is suspect in my books.
Who will come out on top? Hard to say. Foolish penalties which often account for limited skill may factor big in this rivalry.

Historically, the RedBlacks have been owned by Hamilton. What is it?The Cats have beaten Ottawa 9 consecutive games.
Ottawa needs to forget all that. A brand new game with a great QB starting.
Ottawa is playing in front of a partisan crowd. The TiCats may just have their furry little tails stepped on a few times. They say a cat has 9 lives. The TiCats may just be using up another one tonight.
Here is hoping for a hard fought well played game by both teams absent of the foolishness most of us witnessed over the labor day weekend.

The last time the Ticats played the OTTRBs in Ottawa, Crum was the one with “scrambled egg” on his face! They effectively shut down his scrambling although they’re playing on such a short week, that it will no doubt be more challenging tonight. The first time these two teams met early in the season, Crum came in for the injured Masoli and was more of an unknown and probably caught them off guard with his scrambling.

Should be a decent game between the two teams both of whom are starting their rookie 3rd string QBs.

Woohoo! Real football before work tonight and that means 1 less down to get to my favourite part of the sport :sunglasses:

Cooking up some dinner rn but ill be around in a little bit.

On another note; my favourite OHL team is playing tonight and is up 2-0 against the returning champs! Its gonna be a good night.

And I’m sure the TCats would love to serve Crum a dish of scrambled eggs again.
The question is will they be able to turn the heat up enough to cook a mess of scrambled eggs or will Crum put out their pilot light?

Not the quick start a well rested REDBLACKS were looking for. Interception Hamilton.

Yeah rookie mistake by Crum. Not even close to being a completion.

Marc Liegghio nails a 32 yard field goal, identical to a 1 point convert attempt!

Excellent run by Williams!

Hamilton is looking for their 10th straight win in the nation’s capital. Ottawa hasn’t won at home against Hamilton since 2018. Let’s see if the REDBLACKS can break that streak tonight.

Seems it might be part of Kahari’s script at the start of the game. They did the same in Edmonton, and last week vs Toronto.

There’s nothing i hate more than field goals under 20 yards. My least favourite ST play EVER

As much as you’d like to see Ottawa go for it there and play to win, it’s still early enough that conventional wisdom says to take the points. Tie game 3-3.

nevermind he just jogged off the field
