Sure would like to see the CFL listen and pay attention to its players (and fans) instead of censoring and fining them for trying to keep the league from slipping further in the sewer (kickers, Bethel Thompson). (Mod edit for unnecessary and irrelevant political comment) The CFL is becoming a bad taste in my mouth in the last few years - and I used to be CFL fanatic!

Thank you, Moderator, for underscoring my point of the CFL’s “political” obsession with censorship (by censoring a comment that’s very RELEVANT to Canadians). Does the CFL remember that it’s on a GLOBAL stage?

Please read the site rules before beaking off.

Your comment wasn’t censored, but rather edited as it was in breach of site rules. You placed political commentary in a football related thread. That is prohibited. We don’t do censorship here.

Politics can be discussed in the Lounge if you care to do so. It will always be removed from a football thread. What you think of the Liberal Government also has nothing to do with CFL fines so your comments were also off topic.

Don’t be so small-minded!
Since the CFL is an organization, it is by its very nature political itself. Decisions it makes ARE political, even if they are football related. You can’t disassociate the two (even though I’m sure there are times the CFL would like to).
Any CFL football commentary cannot help but be political commentary as well.
The idea of comparing current government penchant for censorship and CFL censorship (which it calls fines in cases like MBT’s and the kickers) are certainly NOT off topic – and shouldn’t be. It’s a scary perception and fear that does exist amongst community members (fans) that care. Closing your eyes to it and censoring, I mean editing, comments like mine with convenient site rules and interpretations is just about not wanting anyone to step on CFL toes. Ah, there’s the rub!
In which case, the Forum becomes inane and irrelevant. Might as well just shut ‘er down. The truth, however, will still remain.

Sorry, it’s not my “damn politics”. Unfortunately, it’s there - interfering with the game I love. So I don’t like it, either. Sorry you missed the point.

lol, what?! That’s pretty ridiculous actually…they are not Siamese twins…

Next time refrain from your constant drivel. The adults posting have issues with football-----GOT IT? Keep your views to a minimum and make everyone happy

Bottom line: if you post on this forum, you have to adhere to its Code of Conduct: FAQ - CFL Forums

You may not like the CoC, but these are the rules. If you go around picking fights in, say, a bar IRL, you’ll get kicked out of the bar. You go to someone’s house and start arguments, you’ll be asked to leave.

This is a space hosted by the CFL and run at their pleasure. Censorship doesn’t apply. (I really wish people would educate themselves on what censorship actually is instead of invoking it blindly and incorrectly.)

I can see you’re trying to insert your politics into a football discussion. There are other forums available for political discussions.
Everyone here has a right to ask a question & the decision to answer or not.
The CFL is not a political organization whether you believe they engage in politics or not. As a private organization they can decide what gets posted.

There is no political association between the government of Canada and the CFL even if they are both political organizations according to your definition.
The CFL is not in a position of governmental control. They are in control of their own communication sites. You’ve made an attempt to guilt by association using an inappropriate association - one you’ve manufactured through the fallacy of composition.
