Thoughts and condolences to the Banks' family and friends...

I've just been a lurker on the forum for a couple of years now. But now I need to share my condolences after seeing this.

VANCOUVER -- The son of B.C. Lions defensive back Korey Banks has died after a battle with cancer, the team announced in a release Monday.

Three-year-old Khamari Banks succumbed to the disease Monday night in Atlanta after being diagnosed last year.

In 2009 in with Lions, Korey Banks had four interceptions to go along with 56 tackles.

In six CFL seasons with Ottawa and B.C., Banks has 31 interceptions and 249 tackles.

Much love and strength to you and yours, Korey.

...that is very sad news, my prayers to Korey and his family on their loss...

Very sad story... condolences to Korey and family...

Such a sad sad time for the Banks family. I had no idea that Korey and his wife were carrying the crushing weight of the possibility of losing their little one during the past year. To lose a loved one is so painful. To lose one's child- at any age- is excruciating. Deepest sympathies and condolences to the Banks family. I hope the moderators are able to pass on our condolences at the appropriate time.

Sad, sad story. Not having ever lost a child, it's difficult to imagine the sorrow that must be ripping through the Banks' family at this time. My deepest sympathy.
