This Season is a Bust

Lets face it: Hamilton will lose next week too & then they'll be 1-4. The running game is weak and the the kicker is suspect at best. Are changes in the air ? ? ? ?

Long Live The Vampiro ! :cowboy:

If this continues, yes.

But its worth mentioning we're 2 games out of .500 with fixable concerns. Last year we were 3 games out of .500 much later in the season and strung 3 wins to finish 9-9...

THE SEASON IS NOT OVER!

What are these fixable concerns you speak of? As far as The Vampiro is concerned this team lacks a culture of winning and the chemistry is lacking. :expressionless:

Oh god no, we are not out of it at all, this was a statement game yes and now we know how the statements have to be made from now on in, this isn't going to cut it.

We agree that Hamilton will probably get pummeled next week too - yes ? ? ?

Even if we don't get pummeled, we'll still lose.Durant and crew know how to finish a game whereas we don't.Not even close.

....in an 8 Team league going 9-9 is sub-par. This isn't baseball and it's not about the average...unless you want to be average. It's about making it to the playoffs..........and more importantly winning the cup. If you're willing to be happy with a 9-9 season, shame on you. :cowboy:

I believe you've hit on something,Vampiro...

The culture of losing that permeates this team!!

It's something it cannot shake...

The Vampiro says that our QB is far from settled and that Cobb is looking like a bust. Also, the Ti-Cats need a new field goal kicker and quick or at least sign one to signal to Sandro that his poor play will not be tolerated for much longer.

Assuming we lose next week, I think August 7th is a do or die game for MB!

Thanks The Welder. If my suspicions are truly the case, it won't be something that can be rectified this year, but only in the off season. Hopefully the Ti-Cats will bring in some NFL rejects after they been cut and see what they can do in Steel Town.

Yes ,sir!!!!!

The fact that people are happy with 9-9 shows that culture of losing that has permeated the fanbase,as well...

The reason for it is simple,however...The fans of this team have been treated to footbal teams so horrendous that 9-9 feels like a championship.

The front office knows this which is why it never really upgraded weaknesses from last year.In fact,it made a clear statement that it did'nt care by not paying Mr.Goodspeed for his performance last year...

The cats were in this game for a long time. The Defense looked sound. We gave up points with turnovers and shoddy play. Gotta love it when we get first and goal on the one and we throw out our third string QB. If we going to do the QB sneak lets snap that ball quick.

Although The Vampiro would hate to see MB or any other coach canned during the season as this move doesn't promote consistency, we tend to agree with you The Alan Cooper. MB will be turfed to the curb if Hamilton loses Aug. 7. At least he can go live with his parents in Ottawa.

Why do they do that? Glenn's one of the best 'sneakers' in the league

I agree. We've been had again...This team has been a loser since 1972.Sure they have a few good years and even Grey Cup wins, but the trnd is always losing.Even through different ownership situations...

IMO we HAVE to stop this "develop your own talent" crap.
We need some trades to bring in some more reliable players and not release another PR guy to bring in another PR guy.

Jiminez when back needs to go to RT, Rottier to RG.
After that, we sign a big power back, there's some out there somewhere.
THEN we bring in Randee Drew or another vet DB cause Shivers is getting schooled on a regular basis.
Next, we fire Mike Gibson and bring somebody more creative in.
THEN we'll have a team that can challenge Montreal.

That drive, although early in the game, exemplifies the lack of trust MB has in his team. If MB had the testicular fortitude, he would have went for it on 3rd down. The Vamipro believes that MB lacks faith in his players to execute. Hopefully after this game, MB doesn't send Sandro out to attempt a field goal outside of 30 yards.

Vampiro - comes off the bench with a thread after how many posts since 2006 ?

Cheers for remembering you still had that username.

Jeers for not having the stones to use your regular one.

Vampiro has hit it out of the park by observing the "Culture of Losing Phenomenon" of this team...

More people need to see where this phenomenon eminates from...
