The title is a quote from Luke Tasker on the post-game coverage.
After ten games played, what players would you like to see return for 2025?
BLM - it’s obvious the HC has a problem with him. I can’t see him return.
Timmeh - for our highest-paid receiver, he certainly isn’t living up to his $235,000 contract. Goodbye - I don’t even want him back at $100,000.
Bridges - Keeper.
Dunbar - maybe.
K.Smith - if soneone doesn’t end his career by taking out his knees after another showboating incident, I might want to see him back. If anything, he’s a serviceable National receiver.
Butler - absolutely, if he doesn’t give this franchise the finger.
Luther - yes.
O-Line - yes, all of them (minus CVZ v2.0 in Figs) - the best-performing position group on the team.
Secondary - see ya - don’t let the door hit you on your way out, and that might include Kats. He’s had a regression, but is that him, his supporting cast, or the coach?
Kenny G - I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t been cut already. The absolutely WORST DB I have seen on this team.
Wilson - maybe. The LB group has been laughable this year. I think Wilson is the “best” of the bunch, however.
Sayles - sure. Needs to produce more, so I hope any contract is seriously reduced.
Every other D-Lineman - they are virtually invisible, so I can barely remember their names. If they are that unknown, then they ain’t doing
NiCo - absolutely
Leigghio - only if he gets a stronger leg. IMO he has the worst kickoff depth, and can’t make an onside kick to save his life.
Whyte - yes.
Returners - none of them, and that includes Timmeh. Nobody has distinguished themselves, but that could also be a symptom of the terrible blocking on returns.
He’s been very accurate this season. He simply doesn’t seem to have the strength needed for longer FG attempts or kickoffs. Other teams get an automatic 20-yard boost in field position on his kickoffs.
Turning the page on Bo is a fait accompli.
Keep Butler. Powell, Frost. Constantinou .
Couldn’t care less about every other member of the roster.
Thats it.
I know it was only 1 game, but Greg Bell did pretty well tonight - 85 yds rushing on 12 carries, 88 yards receiving on 6 catches (173 yards overall), and 2 TDs. I think he has potential…
What I find funny right now is that for the better part of the last 3 years, this team’s weak points were the O-Line, Kicking, and not much of a running game. So now we finally have a solid O-Line, Kicking and TWO great running backs.
He did played quite well minus the drop/INT that really turned the game around. I also noticed him miss a ton of blocking assignments. Butler really is the real deal when it comes to picking up blitz.
However given how much Milo wants to run we should find a way to get this guy into the lineup.
Okay so using last nights depth chart I asked myself if you could only keep a third of the roster which is 15 players who would you
keep ? Believe me the pickings are slim but after much thought on the matter this is what I came up with…
Offense
Taylor Powell -qb
Greg Bell - rb
Shemar Bridges - wr
Luther Hakunavanu - wr
Steven Dunbar - wr
Brandon Revenberg - g
Coulter Woodmansey - g
David Beard - c
Quinton Barrow - t
Defense
Brandon Barlow - de
Casey Sayles - dt
Kyle Wilson - lb
Jamal Peters - db
If you’re referring to my list (and I think you are?) it was made from the depth chart from last nights game therefore Butler and Cross were not included . I was thinking of including Panabaker and also Murray but I had already limited myself to only 15 players or a third of the roster and with all the over the top talent that this club has I had to make some tough choices .
I thought the O line has been decent, wouldn’t mind seeing some of them return.
Butler and Litre are keepers for me. Maybe Tuck as well if he doesn’t fumble anymore.
Kats is a keeper for me as well. Him on a competent team could be valuable. Same could be said for Peters
One of Bridges, Smith or Hakunavanhu would be decent to have as depth.
Maybe Powell as a backup? He’s experienced, cheap and has looked alright in the few snaps he’s been in this year. Hopefully there is a better starter though, because I don’t see Powell as that at all and BLM is obviously on his way out.
Everyone else id be alright letting go. Especially the coaches, gm, president and really anyone involved in making this team.
