The real sad thing is theres still gonna be 28.000 plus next weekend when Saskatchewan comes to Hamilton. Another sad thing... The upper management could care less there lossing there still making money on the home games.
Fans in the seats is never a sad thing. It wasn't long ago you could move about the stadium and sit wherever you liked. Good ticket sales mean a stable future. Money making is managements job. Winning games is the job of the guys patrolling the sidelines, and the guys wearing the helmets.
Meh true enough. I stand corrected. lol should have thought this one through before posting.
The REAL sad thing is ... I plan on being ONE of those 28 000 !
Peace.
I'm going to be another...but I guarentee there wont be as many next year...season ticket holders will likely terminate them and save some money rather than comming to watch a team...hopefully score a point.
im not sure if we will get that many. alot of people are very pissed. if i didnt have season tickets i wouldnt be going myself. but i wont be spending the 60 to 100 dollars i normally spend on food beer and merchandise. im not spending another dime till we fire Pao Pao. then and only then will this team get better
there will be 28,000 people there next week....no doubt.
It really doesn't matter how many will be there next week. What does matter is the fact our team shows up for the game.
It's time to stop thinking about next week and start thinking about next year.
This season is down the tubes!
TiCat fans are the Leafs fans of the CFL. No matter the quality of the on-field product, they'll still fill the stands. There's something both admirable and frustrating about that.
I wish the Argos had more TiCat-type fans.
An Argo fan
It would be rather nice to see maybe 15,000 show up next game. Just to show Bob Young and the rest of the management & even the players that the majority of us are Pissed off. I can see if you have a bad year but 4 in a row now, Its un-acceptable, but its a money making busniess and as long as the head office is making money there not going to do a damn thing about it.
That’s far from true Barney. I remember the years between the Grey Cup win and Bob Young buying the team. Attendance was horrible and nobody new how to fix it.
Cats fans will not show up no matter what. And I’d sure hate to go back to those ‘dark’ years.
Yeah the sad thing to me was in 99 when we had an amazing team and yet only 17000 fans would show up. I have a feeling these big crowds won’t last, there’s a lot of ‘new’ fans showing up that will probably leave with a bad taste in their mouths and won’t be back once the team starts winning again.
I hope there isn't a price increase in tickets next year. Maybe the tooth fairy will coach the team. Maybe I better just hope for world peace. Right?

I think the team dentist could arange that!!!
