The Giant is slain.

So Calgary removed Montreal from the ranks of the unbeaten, and did it with a superior pass attack! Believe it. Joffrey was actually inneffective in this game, although frankly I think the Stamps were going to the well FAR too often by using the same draw play from the gun which Montreal was looking for all the time. We still need to be more creative with the running attack, a straight handoff or a counter would have had the Montreal front seven at least a little bit confused about where Joffrey might be going, so that when they do call the draw play off the gun maybe there aren't three guys in the middle waiting for him.

Nonetheless, awesome game.. definitely most exciting game of the year so far. Wow.

Excuse me!!!!

Superior passing attack?

Burris went 25 for 35 for 310 yards! 71% completion

AC went 25 for 36 for 389 yards 69 % completion.

I don't call that a superior passing attack!

You still canot take away the fact that it was a fantastic game. I was very entertaining, and to top it off, Calgary picked up the win.

Its was a great game for sure!
Nail biter to the very end

Upset hey!

Well we should not take away from the Als they are a very talented team. They would not have the record they have if not for being talented!

From a diehard Als fan, congratulations to your Stamps; you came prepared, you played hard, you did not quit, and you are full measure for your victory. Most entertaining game I've watched this year so far; Grey Cup preview, perhaps?

Well Madjack, It was an entertaining game and the one I had to miss but I got to see it later. Do not take anything from the Als they deserve the utmost respect. The Stamps are slowly getting their game back and I was hoping after the tune up with the riders that they would not come to this game flat. They came in and worked hard to grind out the win. Now the question can they do this again. I am unsure with this break and really I was hoping for a split on the games. Good luck next time.

That was a highly entertaining game. Montreal is obviously a highly skilled team.

The difference between this game, and many other Stamps game this year are the mistakes, or lack there of. The Stamps needed to play mistake free football to win. Zero interceptions, 70% completion rate, not taking too many penalties. Henry Burris was effective moving the ball. He seemed to have time to make several reads, and get the ball downfield. On the rare occassion that he did have pressure, he did not try to force the ball downfiled and throw a pick. Copeland looked great against his former team, nice to see him bounce back after a couple poor outings.

If that same Stamps team shows up for the rest of the year, it should be one heck of a second half.

Agreed. But never doubt that Don Matthews will be ready for the next meeting between the two teams. Should be very interesting!

Maybe they should consider letting the Stamps score TD's they don't get beaten by the greatest kicker in the world.

You might not, but the league did. I don’t know if you recall but Henry was offensive player of the week… not AC. What you’re not taking into account is 2 TDs and 0 INTS, plus 60 yards rushing… vs. AC’s 1 TD and 0 INTs and no yards rushing. Superior passing attack.

I agree and i thought it was one heck of a game and as you said i quote

Excuse me!!!

AC may have more yards but Burris threw more 71% off of less attempts and he threw more touchdowns than AC it was a great game for the Stamps

Hey look! Superior passing attack again! I guess we just have a superior passing attack than the Montreal Allouettes. WHAT A SHOCKER!

Burris: 18-33 295 3TD 1INT
Calvillo: 22-36 289 1TD 1INT
