Seriously, does this guy have pictures of every GM in the league in compromising positions with farm animals? HOW does this man continue to find employment when he’s become known throughout the league as ‘that guy who drops every ball thrown his way’?
I like Lancaster, and I like Marshall. But trading Brazzell for Peterson was a terrible move. Brazzell isn’t happy in the slot? Your team is winless? How about actually being flexible and moving him back to the wideout spot? Letting him try to beat DBs one on one with his speed and height, instead of trading him for Hands of Stone Peterson? It didn’t take Jim Daley long to figure out how to use Brazzell effectively, did it?
Edmonton and Winnipeg must have Lancaster on speed dial. First that garbage Comiskey-Montford trade and now this. Look for Peterson to drop about five more balls during the Labour Day Classic, after which Lancaster will trade Troy Davis, Craig Yeast, D.J. Flick and Tim Cheatwood to the Argonauts for R. Jay Soward and a sh1tty special-teams player to be named later.
Kamau Peterson's first catch last night? An out pattern that he fumbled as he was hit. Wow, great job getting this stellar receiver. I think there are robots out there with softer hands.
Discipline you are bang on about the difference in how Daley and Marshall use Brazzel.........he looks great at wideout for Winnipeg against single coverage; he ate up that guy in Hamilton a week or so ago (Kornegay I think?). So why did Marshall insist on using him in the slot? It's not as if they couldn't put him at wideout....Flick is very good at the one wideout spot in Hamilton, but their other wide receiver is some guy named Gilliam who they hardly ever throw to (I stand to be corrected but I think they only threw to him once on Labour Day). So why they played Gilliam and ignored him and had Brazzel play slot essentially keeping sure-handed Morreale on the bench is a mystery to me.
Hamilton should bite the bullett, admit their mistake, cut Peterson loose and pick up Cutolo.......or isn't Winston October still around somewhere? Or can't Archie Amerson come back?
YES TI-CAT FANS I FEEL FOR YOU BECAUSE WE ARE NOT IN ANY BETTER POSITION HERE IN WINNIPEG ... EXCEPT THAT TRADE ... YES WE GOT THE BETTER OF THAT ONE ... LOOK FORWARD TO 2006 ... JUST LIKE US ... HOW BOUT HAMILTON AND WINNIPEG IN THE GREY CUP IN 2006 HERE IN THEPEG... WOULDN'T THAT BE SOMETHING. ALSO LOOK FOR BOTH OF OUR COACHES TO BE TURFED SOMETIME BEFORE NEXT SEASON ... HOPEFULLY SOONER THAN LATER.
MadJack, you're right about the personnel question. Gilliam never even gets looks from McManus, so why did he take priority over a 1000-yard deep threat like Brazzell? Morreale is a veteran with great hands and to keep him on the bench while the receiving corps was plagued by the dropsies wasn't smart.
