TORONTO — Fresh off The Tour in support of The Album, Jonas Brothers are headed to The Game – the 111th Grey Cup at BC Place in Vancouver on Sunday, November 17. As headliners of the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show, the Jonas Brothers will deliver their signature sound and patented positivity to Canadian Football League (CFL) fans gathered for the nation’s largest single-day sporting event. Public Sale for the 111th Grey Cup begins tomorrow, June 4, at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET.
I can’t in recent memory one being named this early, as uninterested as I am about the Jonas Brothers. Maybe this gives TSN a whole season to interview them instead of during the biggest game of the year.
No surprise we are on the same page here. The target age bracket for this band ends with the letters “teen”. I have no problem with the league trying to attract a younger crowd and that is what they should be doing.
Alas, there will be a cosmic drop off in talent and quality of music from Green Day. This is more like most Grey Cup and Super Bowl half time shows, crap musically.
Since it was announced so early this year, I will also announce that I have already scheduled doing the dishes during this half time show.
Not gonna lie, DNCE’s lead guitarist, Jinjoo Lee, absolutely does it for me.
I like the Jonas Bros. I think its a good call… they will draw in the much-needed younger crowd, plus even some old guys like me. Just because the kids like them, it doesn’t mean they have to be bad.
Over the last few years, I do like to believe the CFL has been as strong as its ever been. Personally, although I enjoy watching both leagues, don’t believe the NFL has anything over the CFL. Look forward to a team on the East Coast, as well, can’t wait for the folks (or more folks) in Toronto to embrace this great league.
Finally, its amazing what great ownership and some patience can do for a franchise as the BC Lions organization with their new ownership looks better than ever. Congratulations.
Go Blue:)
Just amazed at how early they announced this.
Know of the names of jonas brothers, not familiar with their music. I am sure it will be good.
Not sure if JB are necessarily teen target audience. Werent they around like 20 years ago and the then stopped for a decade and now restarted. Arent they all in their mid 30’s.
If they performed last year in Vancouver it must have went well.
I do not like the Jonas Brothers and I am not happy about them appearing on the Grey Cup halftime show. I will be watching the Grey Cup but not the half time show. Bring music that football fans want
I might agree with you on Green Day- I tried practicing Boulevard of Broken Dreams on my guitar one time. But sorry, I think of anything worse than the Jonas Brothers
