Thankfully the CFLPA didn't get their way !

Are you kidding Germ ? But I guess playing in front of of 6 to 12k for 2 years was a money maker ?? If your not conceding Bob Young didn’t lose money than your DELUSIONAL !

King10 and Kasps, you are priceless. A billionaire picks up what you call a worthless asset, cries that he's losing millions - without backing his claim in any way other than his say so - and you buy it hook, line and sinker. Your faith in humanity is touching but I don't think I'm the delusional one here.

try doing the math, if you can.

try doing the math, if you can.
Again, where's the evidence? There isn't any, because we don't know what's in Young's books.

Such comments make you look puerile and foolish.

try doing the math, if you can.
In people like Bob Young's tax bracket the math can get quite interesting ... a few million dollar loss in one column can actually be a gain in another.

Still, I don’t know any person that enjoys “losing” in war, life, love or business. Young had some losses but this new stadium will allow him to make that back up fairly quickly. By the time he’s hosted his first GC, he will have made it all back and a bright future for his team and himself.

Young made a lot of mistakes mostly due to impatience with staff but his patience hanging in as an owner for ten years, waiting, hoping that an opportunity would allow his business to become profitable is absolutely to his honor. He took on all the risk and stuck with it so now he get’s a return.

As for the players they are victims mostly because of the Albatross of Toronto weighing the league down like cement shoes. The exchange rate this year also means half the players actually took a pay cut even with the gains made in the CBA. The league needs to put the same types of controls in place for the rest of the operations as they have on their player payroll. Reduce football ops to a maximum of 12 people and a budget of 2 to 2.5 million including expenses.

I perform strategic valuations on billion dollar companies for a living, assisting them raise debt and equity capital through IPO’s and debt issuing. I work in the corporate world and I know when someone is lying in a finanicial sense and he is not.

And he hasn’t been whining that he is losing millions? He complained the Ticats haven’t been profitable since the 1970s and he made it his duty as caretaker and as a final gift to his brother who passed away at a young age and loved the ticats to make the team financially stable. The reason being when he is ready to sell the next owner “doesn’t need to save the franchise from death like he did”

You claim I can’t provide proof that he is losing money?

Then where the hell is your proof that he is making money?

Its a two way street.

SO SHOW ME THE MONEY. SHOW ME THE PROOF OF PROFIT.

My evidence is in the courts. Young purchased an insolvent bankrupt private company and assumed all its debt. He LOST money. Thats even before playing games in front of 6000 ppl at Ron Joyce which you claim doesn’t constituate a loss because you cant see financials. News Flash, private companies dont release financials and people are paid big bucks to analyze their cash flows without having access to this info.

Someone may have cheated on you and you have trust issues, but it wasn’t Bob Young lol.

He gets a million dollars a game for the games played at Ron Joyce.. Who knows how the contract is drawn up? He might even be getting a million a game for the ones where he still sold 18000 tickets to.

Thats in litigation and going to courts. Its going to be a while if anyone ever sees that money. The contractor isn’t paying up. The city says IO owes them. The ticats say the city owes them who say they will get it from the contractor who says Infrastructure Ontario is on the hook who says Ontario Sports Solutions is on the hook.

Its a dogs dinner. You get the idea. Nobody is paying up and no one is seeing money anytime soon.

So are you. Sans evidence except your BElIEF you deny losses and assume profits.

Unless the loss somehow generates a tax savings greater than the loss, it is still a net loss.

King10, Kasps, GHT - I have never assumed anything about the Ticats. What I have said is that we do not know how much money Young may be making or losing, since we do not have access to his books.
Young says he is losing millions and you are assuming that he is telling the truth.

The childish comments on this are ridiculous and do none of you any cerdit.

Misread the tone of the posts then.
