Can't understand why some of you want to slag Terry Vaughn. He has been a heck of a player over the years and he was 100 percent correct in his remarks about Maas and the offensive play calling. He kept his mouth shut like a good soldier during the season when it seemed apparent to me and many others that he and most of the receivers had given up on Maas because of his lousy performance. I appreciate his open-ness now and I think it helps us all understand what the players had to go through this past season...and why the drastic changes are being made now. The only thing I can't figure out yet is why Maas was not the first to be turfed out when the season ended.
I wish Terry Vaughn good luck.
(boremgirl) That's where I disagree with you. I think Flick really puts himself on the line to make the play. I don't think Vaughn put forth the effort he was capable of.I agree with you, Borehamgirl. Flick is no quitter. Even after the season had pretty well gone to the dumper, Flick was still risking his neck and laying out for passes, while the effort we were used to seeing from Vaughn over the years, simply wasn't there.
I think Terry shows a lack of class in blaming anyone else for his demise in 2006.
A classy player would take just his lumps and leave.
It may just be me but I think Paullywood is the smartest person on this forum!!! No joke!!! Well done 31!
Finally someone agrees with me!
Hellcats 4 life …
terry vaughn is a cfl allstar reciever, he was a great aquisition, i m o it would have been good to see him in the black and gold one more year!
Vaughn quit because Maas stunk and there was no way he was getting the ball anyway. Both guys need to be gone. Vaughn was 100% correct about the QB situation in Hamilton but needs to look in the mirror as well.
BTW for you Flick lovers, he stunk too. You can count the number of players on 1 hand that actually played well last year
Are you kidding me, a 12 yard pass was a stretch pass for the Cats last year.
A classier person would have just said things didn’t work out and left it at that. But Vaughn can say what he wants in the press, his perogative.
Interesting point made. Too bad some of the fans don’t take the same advice!
:cowboy:I frankly don't care if you think I have class or not. This is a discussion board where opinions are freely exchanged. If you don't like critisism that counters the praise then don't enter any internet messagebaord site.

I know that, but unlike some people want to think I'm not always wrong either
voice in the distance:
yes u are!
lol
I can't believe that this is being so blown out of proportion on here.
I truly think that this is a classic case of a quote being taken out of context. No one knows the tone in Terry's voice when he said that. It doesn't mean he's slgging Mmaas. He actually is just stating a true fact.
I really think it's fine for everyone to express their opinions be them right / wrong however the continual "personal attack" type comments and low class retorts are way to common place on this and many other boards out there.
Plain and simple it shows Low Class, but Rocky is right....you do have class.
Look at that, I agree'd to agree about a disagreement!!!
And in MY opinion his anger directed at Jason Maas was due to the fact that he felt he didn’t get the ball enough.
Funny how people can read things differently. I detected no anger.
Furthermore, I don’t think Vaughn’s comments are a big deal. He’s right, and I’m sure Maas would agree with him.
I for one thought Vaughn and Cody gave the best efforts on the field last year.
Simply put , Vaughn although a great reciever in his day is past his prime . Also,if Flick is our go to guy on the outside ,our offence will be in trouble YET again .
Time for some new blood out thier and hopefully it will be somebody with some size who will go after and bring down the jump balls that the other teams seem to get ALL the time against us !!!!
Good to see Habman continued his ratio of ...
Post# : Shot at Flick
I am not one for the etiquette battles that arise on forums, but really was it necessary to point that out?
Whoa there, stallion. It was just a remark. I didn’t mean to get in your face.
The basis for my assesment is also known as MY opinion. You are allowed to have one as well.Man, we're just arguing a point about receivers. No need to flip out. Of course you're entitled to your opinion. If I disagree, I'll cite every fact I can to make you reconsider. That's how it goes.
Terry Vaughan is a possession receiver who is well know throughout the league as a player that gets a large portion of his yardage AFTER the catch.Agreed, but that doesn't mean he doesn't put in just as much effort as a D.J. Flick to catch the pass in the first place.
And in MY opinion his anger directed at Jason Maas was due to the fact that he felt he didn't get the ball enough. That could certainly be a factor. But honestly, considering the season Hamilton had, I think he just called it like it was. Jason Maas is a competitor and if you asked him directly about his 06 performance, I'm sure he'd agree that he wasn't "good", to quote Vaughn.

All Vaughn needs to do at this stage, is say nothing and leave. None of us need to hear the after shocks.

Honestly, after the season Maas had, his place is pretty much to say nothing, accept the well-deserved criticism of his current and former teammates, and concentrate on rebounding this year.
And hey, Vaugh is a trooper. He said nothing while a TiCat and only offered a mild barb after they cut him.
