Tonight's edition of TSN Sportscentre had a clip on Milt Stegall. Apparently, the Bomber receiver is still a tad sore after being "tay-zered" by Ticat defensive back Tay Cody in the game last Friday night and has not yet been able to practice full out. However, Stegall did say that the soreness will not stop him from playing this Friday against the Ticats.
now isnt he just a big guy
speaking of which, Tay COdy was a monster last game, 9 tackles, 3 more on ST. AHHH
Speaking of which...
Will it be "ethical" for the Bombers to suit Stegall this week, where he'll be facing a "hitter" like Cody?
Most DB's on the TiCats will "understand" that levelling Milt will be part of the game plan.
That's fine, as long as the hits are reasonably clean, but, team preferences aside, can't the Bombers come up with a reasonable gameplan to beat the hapless Cats without risking their best receiver and a CFL Hall of Famer?
It might answer whether they "respect" the TiCats after last Friday's debacle...because if I was Kavis Reed, I'd tell the guys to pulverise him at ant "legal" opportunity...and I'm sure Milt and the Bomber Staff understand and accept that...but it will be "interesting" on how they deal with it...
i uno w,e but man cody can lay em out, hes solid
Then on the same page Canada, Walls, Brown or Warner could mess up Maas again if they get good penetration, not that hard to aggrivate an injury even if he is recovered, so this game has potential to be bad for both teams, Winnipeg losing Stegall would be a disaster, and Hamilton losing Maas would be the worst thing that could happen. Either way should be a great game.
TCTD, did you just coin that phrase, or have we seen it before? I like it!
well probly see it a million times in kens articles now.
I realized that after posting. It will become considerably less cool when that PA announcer gets a hold of it and uses on every single Cody tackle.
the pa announcer and ken both have this amazing talent to kill cool and catchy phraises
still love the term,
i think the problem is, they try to come up with stuff on their own (PA and Peters) and it gets annoying because they try to force it.
like that one dorky kid in a group that always tried to push his own slang on the rest of the group in order to feel cooler...
Their probably going to sit him because this is a 1-6 team their going to face no better chance to do so
Thanks ExPat, Makaveli and Espo. The new word suits Tay Cody's aggressive tackling style to a tee. On the other hand, you make a good point about the overuse of any phrase. When somebody has been "tay-zered" by Cody, the fans inherently know it- an announcer does not need to tell them.
i don't really want to hear it more than twice a game.
(unless of course Cody decides to start Tay-zering every receiver that comes his way... i'd love to hear it upwards of ten times a game if that were the case.)
