:x :x :x :x :x :x

While Logan certainly would have bee deserving. Teams had to alter their game plan against Banks and he did put up 4 scores on kick returns. So robbed ? I don't agree but it certainly could have gone to Logan. Glad we have him.

I agree with LeStaf. Logan deserved that award. And let's not forget he played a good chunk of the year with a rib injury too.

When the new punt return rules were announced in the winter, everyone, myself included, figured Banks would be scoring on every return. So even with his 4 TDs he definitely underachieved. Chris Williams was another returner who was very quiet.

Ironically the only guy I thought that was as exciting as Logan was Chris Rainey, although a small sample size when he joined BC late in the season.

There is another All Star team chosen by the players, so we`ll see how that turns out for Logan.

Unfortunately the support staff made errors that prevented Logan being awarded Tds, on at least 2-3 times as holding was called preventing these great runs being counted as TDs.

Unfortunately-and it applies to all sports-when members of the media select All-Stars,too often past performance of a player or team standing of a player is taken into consideration. In 2015, there is no way that Brandon Banks should have been selected over Stefan Logan as the special teams specialist. Banks was great for a few games but good and ordinary on a few occasions for the remainder of 2015. In terms of yards gained, excluding rushing and receiving, Stefan Logan had 2,420 and Brandon Banks had 1,766.

I am as much surprised that Ryan Bomben of Hamilton and Greg Van Roten of Toronto were selected as All-Star G. Bomben missed at least 6 games and Hamilton allowed 54 sacks in 2015; Toronto allowed 58 sacks, yet Van Roten was selected. Even though Montreal allowed only 33 sacks, only Jeff Perrett was selected as a OL star. Philip Blake and Kristian Matte should have been chosen rather than Bomben and Van Roten.

Tomorrow, the finalists for the 2015 Awards will be announced; based on this year performance by the players, Int. LB Winston Venable and Int. KR/RB Stefan Logan should respectively be the defensive player and special teams player as the 2015 Eastern finalists. Unfortunately, because of the Alouettes record, along with "big mouth" of Lawrence and past performance of Banks, Lawrence and Banks could be the ones selected.

Past experience and team standing prevailed in selection of finalists for 2015 CFL Awards.

Lawrence of Hamilton instead of Venable of Montreal for defensive player.

Hamilton of Toronto instead of Bede of Montreal for rookie.

Banks of Hamilton instead of Logan of Montreal for special teams player.

Lots of politics involved and reporters tend to be homers, so with the little support the Als get from Montreal media and a losing record, this is not surprising.

IMO the real All Star team is the one voted by players.

I agree. I also think it's absurd that not a single one of our O-linesmen (to say nothing of S.J. Green) were All-Stars this year.

Agreed! Lowest sacks given in the league AND the league-leading rusher, but no recognition for our o-linemen is really a shame.

And with a revolving door of QBs for the line to adjust to.
