Staying Home: Demski signs three-year extension with Bombers

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed receiver Nic Demski to a three-year contract extension, keeping him in Blue and Gold through 2025. Demski was set to become a free agent on February 14 and was ranked No. 6 on CFL.ca’s Top 30 Pending Free Agents list.

Another great day to be a Bomber fan. Very happy for Nic. A fine player and a better person. There multi year contracts are great for stability and for the fans.

I didn't think Nic would sign elsewhere but you never know for sure, and as a Bomber fan, its great to have him in Blue and Gold for another 3 years. And, although many teams seem to be going the way of Coach/GM do hope that Winnipeg extends Kyle Walters contract, in my opinion, as good a GM as there is.

Good signing. Hardly a surprise but they needed to get that one done.

Bailey should be a priority over Ellingson. Ellingson has great hands, but will only play 1/2 season at best due to injury. Bailey is immensely talented and deserves to be a bigger part of the game plan. Ellingson was a marquee receiver for many years to be sure, but sadly his days are numbered now....

I would agree with you Re: Bailey, would also add

COUTURE, SAYLES & TAYLOR to the short list as well... welcome to the site :+1:

A very good list....and thanks for the welcome.

Curious to see who foresees the Bombers letting go of Bailey, and giving Agudosi more time. Am I simply biased, since I'm a Rutgers man?

I still think that the Bombers will sign Bailey but who knows. Would love to see Agudosi get more time and wouldn’t be surprised if that was part of the plan. I’m thinking Ellingson isn’t in their plans unless something else doesn’t pan out. We’ll know soon if Schoen will be trying the NFL or coming back.

And welcome to the forum.

I think with Agudosi it all depends on his injury and if he still has the speed.
The other big factor is are they willing to take what the Bombers offer?
Too many questions at WR right now, but you know even if he does sign, he'll have to battle a host of newbies and potentially the next "Schoen".

Back to Demski for a sec. I think his value is not found in any stats page. His value is in timely plays. When you need him he is there and performs. He's a game changer.
