STATE OF FOOTBALL IN THE PEG:IS BRUNT RIGHT?

Stephen Brunt of The Globe even though he follows the CFL, has written many articles and in my mind has been a turncoat NFL wanabee here in Toronto.
After reading his article, I can't disagree with him.

I never read the article, I was only going to add that Brunt is a AHOLE, in the lines with Scott Taylor , Marty York,Steve Simmons etc etc etc, they all want the CFL to fold.

I don't disagree with you.

He's right to a degree, but I don't think people care as deeply here as he seems to think they do. We couldn't even sell out the last two home play off games, so the fans ain't that hard core.

I have since read the article since you went to the trouble of posting it, not a expert on things Winnipeg, but notice he has to talk NFL in order to talk about Winnipeg. I could give 2 hoots about Buffalo Bills etc, what does that have to do with Winnipeg? The guy is a AHOLE, along with so many of the Canadian sports media. Speaking of a writer mentioning NFL while he`s doing a story on CFL, I hate when the TSN guys continually talk about the NFL during the game. Suitor is the worst, he quoted Bear Bryant the last game. We have plenty of our own CFL legends to quote!!!

Wow, you're sure insecure. Maybe we should pass a law outlawing that type of egregious behaviour.

What next, broadcasters are only allowed to mention the Canadian players during games?

"Here's O'Day coming up over the ball......Szarka is lined up beside Makowsy at tight end....O'Day snaps the ball............................................................................................................................tackled by Matthew Proulx........................................................and in comes Getzlaff on second and short."

HEHE you are funny  You take me somewhat out of context

If I wanted to watch NFL football I would tune in to NFL football. I am not interested in hearing Suitor talk about the Bills and T Owens, thats all I said. Most CFL fans are not NFL fans, that may or may not be the case here, but I am quite confident that is the case for most CFLers.

But it is true these Americans NFL lovers must always bring the No Fun League in the picture in an effort to try to drag down the CFL.

I don't know where you get that. I love the NFL. Watch tons of it every Sunday. Have Sunday Ticket, the whole works.

I don't need to hate the NFL to somehow prove how much I care for the CFL. They both are passions.

Maybe I'm just a football Mormon.

Maybe you are Artie and maybe you are also the exception in loving the CFL first.
However in Canada do as and there should be no dispute how more Canadians should have a preference for our league.
Why is it like this for hockey, that our winter sport?
CFL is the second most favourite sport in the country however it is treated like the deceased great sportswriter Jim Hunt used to say, like watching porn no one will admit to it but everyone watches it. And I will further add way too many NFL clowns drinking the American cool aid bash it.
