MLS may not be the top league, but it is in the U.S. and Canada.

But torontonians can’t and don’t go to NFL games. Watching NFL games on TV is no different than watching any of the number of soccer leagues that rank above MLS.

Have you been to many TFC games? The demographic is completely different than your typical CFL crowd.

CFL is a hard sell in Toronto

Reason CFL is a hard sell in Toronto, at least I think one main reason, is that nowadays it’s looked upon as a domestic league that can’t compete salary wise with the most sought after football players more than anything combined with domestic/minor league image, but mainly ā€˜just’ domestic with salary limitations and that is not what sells nowadays in Toronto. How the CFL gets beyond this image in Toronto, not a clue. If this is important. I’d love for the Argos to have a stadium of their own like the Als, that’s the key I’d say, they remain 2nd class citizens in a stadium even in a football stadium. This doesn’t help their image in the least. But not much you can do. At least they are playing in a nice stadium and the new field dimensions that are the same for all teams will help I think with a better overall league image I’d say as well.
