Starting Lineup Introductions

Should the Grey Cup teams go back to starting lineup intoductions. The entrance doesn’t have the hype it used to.

I think the Patriots did this in 2001 and its slowly become more fashionable since.

When I played football I bought into team over individual kind of thinking. So when it comes to the pros going after a championship, count me as one who prefers the team coming out as one.

Maybe its not the best for marketing the stars, but it says football to me when team comes first.

And they should state the university they attended. It helps the younger fans identify with player. It’s called marketing

I miss the player introductions. Definitely added to the hype. Plus it’s a great opportunity to market the stars of the game. No brainer in my opinion.

Yes, bring back the lineup intros. I always loved those. Helps shine a well deserved light on some of the players that got their team to the cup.

Not just that, it introduces and recognizes a lot of guys like O-Linemen whose name we usually only hear when they are hurt, or when they get penalized.

We should go to the tv intros like the NFL too, say your name and school…

But that would mean introducing all players, defense, offense, special teams a total of 92 - the intro is too long as it is.
Just put the pics of the players when the offense is on the field and the pics of the defense and special teams when they are out.
I don’t want to see 92 players introduced individually

It was never like that ever. They used to introduce the starting O of one team and the starting D of the other.

So if they introduce the Defense and you are an O lineman, you won’t get mentioned at all.
I would prefer the NFL intros, where they show the pics of the guys and what college they come from as O or D comes on to the field.

TSN shows the starting lineup with pictures and their Universities.
