Start Chang or Else!!!!!!!!!!

I expect Chang to struggle. At least he will be learning. I usually take an entire season to become competent. Maas has already used his season BEFORE he came here. Vet vs Rookie, different expectations

i'll admit that i like everyone else am a huge cat fan. but i don't know as much as taaffe and his coaching staff.
so if half the fans are right and the other half are wrong then what.
what if half of the fans said they'd boycott if maas starts and half the opposite, you telling me half the fans won't show up next game?
that is why you are in over your head with your threats of boycott.

Stop making sense!

At this point, with the team 0-5, what can it hurt to give Chang 1 game.

I have been a Maas supporter, and I like what I see from him, things are improving, but, nevertheless, giving Maas one game off will not be the end of the world, and I think he can handle it.

Maas got the entire game, lets give Timmy an entire game and see what happens.

What's the worst thing that can happen now if we start Timmy, we go 0-6.

It sounds to me that my ticats are not good enough for you.

Do you honestly think if Chang was the better QB the coaching staff would make him ride the pine like this?

What am I missing?
Hamilton's QB Jason Maas was 29-of-44 for 341 yards.
The pic at the end of the game was tipped at the line of scrimmage.
By my perspective, a Blue Bomber fan, Maas played pretty well. He just has to learn to punch it in when they get into the red zone.

At this point YES. Its a stubborn refusal to put in Chang because he’s a rookie that is preventing the change. Williams on the other hand must be worse than Maas although I cannot see how

Time for learning was at least 5 years ago. The guy is terrible

Okay, so the problem isn’t Jason Mass, it’s that our coaching staff prefers to lose?

It seems that an agenda is more important than winning. I could live with that if it were an agenda that makes sense for the future. In fact I've been screaming for it

Maas has had 5 starts.
2 touchdowns scored while he has been playing–it could be argued that only one was meaningful (last week against BC was too late).
QB’s don’t keep their jobs anywhere with production like that let only QB’s coming off a 4 and 14 season.
He is becoming exceedingly difficult to defend. He played last night and did not score a touchdown when one touchdown may have been all we needed.
His stats look good and this is actually even more alarming as this is probably as good as he gets and still…no td’s.
He is damaged. Week in and week out, month in and month out , and now year to year— he proves he cannot throw deep.

Fair enough, your point is well taken. I too hope they are looking further ahead than just this season when choosing their team. I just don’t know when you decide to give up on Jason Mass. He has been improving but their are flaws in his game…

Has anybody noticed that after every game the other team’s fans come on here and tell us how great Jason Maas was and that we should give him a few more starts - especially next week against their team?

That alone should tell you something… if we were playing the ‘team that must not be named’ next week - I’d sure want them to start that McMahon guy.

Note: PredsCoach will be temporarily away from the Ticats Forum for the next few minutes and in another team’s forum - telling the ‘fans that must not be named’ that they should give McMahon another few starts - after all, he is their future and that other guy is just a washed up hall of famer…

Maas takes the blame because as the highest paid player he has to do what he gets paid by CFL standards ( $400,000 )the big bux and put the ball in the end zone. Who cares how many yards they get during the game, its the yards into the end zone where he isnt producing. No tds and 6 fgs = a loss most of the time. Look as Sask. yesterday 54 points against Edmonton. Any chance Maas will ever put them kinda points up on the scoreboard, no way! They will be lucky to get 54 points in a month never mind 1 game! Maas has to go and now! Give Chang a chance, we will never know what he can do if he doesnt start. As long as Maas is the starter I wont buy a ticket! He throws a terrible ball, it looks like a wounded duck most of the time. Chang throws a nice tight spiral most of the time with some zip on it which Maas cant do.

Its not the money, its the failure
