This is shocking

Orimalade signing probably cost Vaughters his job, he was not nearly as effective the second time around as a Stampeder. Mike Rose is a head scratcher, victim of salary cap or does Dave have a free agent in mind?

I certainly can understand cutting Vaughters but think Rose still has some value. Dickenson needs to cut Howsare as well as he has been a dud since acquiring him from FA when he was in Hamilton.
I didn’t see none of these D linemen performing even fairly and not sad that they leave in favor of guys who can perform their job. The outstanding question is will we sign the right guys for this job this time?

Didn’t see that coming. Rose led the team in sacks from his DT position. Age likely a factor but, @ 33, I’d take a chance on him. I’d be surprised if Rose wasn’t picked up by another club.

Rose probably was another salary dump. Maybe Elks could use him, Elks D line needs help, at a good price of course

Yup. Color me surprised. Rose had virtually no one to play with last season so he drew all the double teams, which makes it hard to be effective…

I agree with you. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised he ended up in Regina or Winnipeg either. Lanier looks to be out in Regina & he’s younger than Micah who’s turning 37.

I’m sure Kilan might be interested & Sherritt has connections there with him as well. :sunglasses:

Let the full-on rebuild in Calgary begin!

Outright release like this usually means someone is sniffing around and the team doesn’t plan to retain them for the coming season.

MOST CFL teams are great that way. They will release guys who have a job waiting for them elsewhere.
