CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders came back from an 11-point deficit late in the fourth quarter to beat the Edmonton Elks 35-31 in the final OK Tire Labour Day Weekend 35-31 at McMahon Stadium on Monday.
When you have a moderately successful high school coach who considers himself a defensive guru trying to coach a professional team and his defence takes a substantial lead into the fourth quarter then allows three touchdowns in the quarter you have a problem.
Exciting game and great finish ! Penalties just about did the stamps in. Especially starting with Mills on the Elk 5 yard line and then another that pushes the Stamps way back out of TD range. Luckily the Elks had penalty problems too.
Elk QB Ford is a night mare for opposing teams.
