I played in many pickup Sunday games with Lee.
He wasn’t a big guy early in HS. In fact when picking teams nobody was fighting to make sure Lee was on their side. In fairness he was a year younger than me. He definitely had a growth spurt later in HS and had a great run with the Ticats.

Met him after the Eastern Final in Toronto in 2013. Great dude, always nice to see local guys succeed. He was always one of those players you cheered a little bit extra for.

I was with the Ticats equipment staff from 93-96 and Lee Knight was everything you want in a teammate. Tireless worker, student of the game, team before self, modest, and on and on. He was such a kind man, but a relentless competitor too.
I still chat with him when we cross paths from time to time on game day and he’s as great a guy today as he was then.
